Been trying to root rosemary for about a year. Now I understand where I was going wrong. Thanks for the tutorial. Will try again. Love from Jamaica.

I grow lot’s of rosemary for the branches. I cut them up and put all the branches around my fruit trees and basically every where in my yard. Stops cats, snails and any other animals in my yard. I just leave them there until following spring and then put fresh ones again. They are even better when dry also.
Great video. Thank you. Happy gardening.

Thank you! Every video I've found about "creating" a rosemary topiary starts with a rosemary topiary that just needs light pruning. Which is not.... creating one. This was exactly what I needed! Thank you!

I love the way you have naturally given this rosemary growing tutorial, so calmly, without assuming prior knowledge on the simple steps. I grew in a farm but to me it was hard labour, peasant farming and so I was so eager to show it my back to city living but now looking back with people such as you Vadana Shiva a back to nature advocate and an enemy to Monsanto 's activities to what belongs to the world, seeds, natural seeds, I am a farmer even thou on my back yard🤣 Thank you for sharing that knowledge with without being tempted to patent it😂 it.

I've wanted big rosemary bushes for years! I now live in a place where they'll work, and a neighbor offered me free cuttings from her plant :) Thanks for the guidance!

Can’t wait to try this. I have a wild Rosemary plant I want to share. Read that chewing on the leaves prevents migraines. Worth a try!

You can use honey and/or dried cinnamon instead of a commercial rooting powder. Smells good too...

I also like rosemary for tea and to put in yeast rolls when I make homemade yeast rolls. I'm glad this video popped up in my recommended videos, my rosemary had outgrown the terra cotta pot I've had it in for years; this video reminded me that I used to take cutting and grow new rosemary plants, I had one out in my yard at my previous home that did get very big. I moved in 2021 and been so busy developing garden areas and working on the old farmhouse that is on my property that I totally forgot how lovely rosemary is in landscape! I'm now in northwest Florida 8b and loving it up in this part of the state.

"Rosemary is dead easy to grow from cuttings." Well with my cuttings, the word "dead" definitely seems to be correct sir! Haha! I took several about 6 weeks ago and put one in water and the rest in general purpose compost. The one in water was about to be evicted and sent to the great herb garden in the sky as I thought it had rotted but just in time I noticed three tiny roots appearing so it is now on parole!
As for the others, they seem to be static with little black bits on the ends of their leaves so I have cut them back a bit in the hope that the other end might grow roots (if they have not already done so!)
I read that stressing cuttings sometimes encourages growth so I have cursed at them frequently but rather than being stressed I do not think that they are taking me seriously and they have lost the will to live!
Incidentally I am in UK.

Thank you... here in Nevada and discovered the plants at my son's apartment complex, then I noticed that they were everywhere. Going to put it around my pool so I can serve myself and I do love it just as much or more than you do ❤

I make butter and rosemary rice... I put it in eggs, on all my meats, in soups, my breads, potatoes, even my homemade jam... but that's a secret recipe😂

I grow my rosemary in a large pot and prune it every few years to keep it lush and compact. My neighbour planted a single rosemary plant in her front garden and now it has overtaken about a third of the space. It’s a huge monster. She has it pruned once a year to prevent it from engulfing everything else. Your warning about its vigorous growing habits is a wise one.

Rosemary is my favorite plant and I keep several of them indoors for many years. Now time to have a young generation of them and this video is helpful.
