I must be talented. I've killed every plant I've had.

I threw a dead rosemary plant in my compost...it overwintered and is alive and well 3 years later!

As someone who thought growing rosemary was easy, I've managed to kill several in the past 3 years. It was a lot of trial and error and challenging in a non-mediterranean humid tropical environment but I eventually kept one alive for over a year now and darn proud of it. I found out that root rot was the main culprit in my past rosemary demise. I hope I can eventually see this one flower.

Let me just say this, it might not be the best experience for you to shoot this video in the rain, but it’s HELLA AMAZING to watch and listen to! Thank you!!!

I love my rosemary plants and your right they practically grow themselves.

Kevin, you mentioned saved seeds. I watched your seed organization video earlier today, and I was wishing you had a seed-saving video (or two or three) for us. I’m a big fan of saving seeds; my public library (Austin, Texas) has a “seed library” and I love to save seeds and leave them there for others to make use of.

Anyway, *great* channel! You’re a natural-born educator.

I know this video is about rosemary, but...can we just take a moment to admire the lavender! Gorgeous!

I've been bingeing on your channel and really enjoying it. I knew nothing about gardening a month ago and now I've planted a few veggies already.

My absolutely favorite herb of all time. Have tried so many times to grow from seeds and cuttings without luck. Then Hod smiled on me and I located a nursery that had them. Someone Bought the whole stock and sold me 2. Now I am happy taking care of my Newby and can't wait to see them spread

I have a rosemary bush here in the south of Spain where it gets up to 43 centigrade with intense ultra-violet in summer and snows in winter. I _never_ water the bush or look after it at all - all I do is trim it down every year with a hedge trimmer. And every year it flowers and attracts loads of bees into the garden.

I buy a Rosemary plant every year, and have managed to kill every. last. one.
Within a month.
For like 20 years.
<sigh>

Just yesterday I started trying to grow a rosemary plant from a cutting to turn into a bonsai, so this video has appeared at a great time! It's one of my favourite herbs as it smells amazing :) It is good in a gin and tonic :)

I live in zone 8b in rainy Manchester, and my rosemary I bought a year ago is thriving! I’ve made sure to add some sand to the soil mix and keep it in a terracotta pot in the garden all year round (South West facing). I recently pruned the new growth and it has already started “forking out” into a more bushy plant. No need to water it here haha 😆 my absolute favourite herb.

Hi Kevin, I'm 77 and still gardening since a little girl. Reared our 4 children on fresh foods and herbs from our backyard garden. Subscribed here and enjoy. I have always grown Rosemary and share it. I struggle with digesting the pointed leaves. Even after they're dried the very ends where they attach to the branch there appears a seemingly woody tip. It takes a lot of time to fingernail clip those off. I'm thinking of creating a Rosemary powder with the dried leaves. what are your thoughts that woody end of the leaves?. I like the idea of the Rosemary salt. I have, thru the years made herbal salts and it's great. Tks for all you do and teach; using your talents to the max :)

Great video. Just purchased my first rosemary plant and feel confident it will do very well thanks to your instruction. Never heard of rosemary salt but I'll have to give that a try too! Thank you for a wonderful video - very professional and fun.

I'm also in San Diego and have a rosemary bush that is about 4 ft in diameter. It is super blooming right now and the bees love it! Me too. I hadn't thought of making salt with it. Just made a rosemary sourdough focaccia yesterday.
