I killed oodles of rosemary plants. Then oneday I bought one, put it in a pot and 100% neglected it.
It is thriving ❤
Definitely a self sufficient plant.

I’ve never had good luck with rosemary propagations, but I’m going to try again, I’d love to have rosemary all over my yard. 😍

I love rosemary so much that I watch videos on youtube just talking about it. This was a great video. I can confirm everything that was stated here. Farewell from hardiness zone 8b!

Rosemary has such a lovely aroma! Thank you for the tips! I have a tip to add, if you are in zone 9b, be careful where you plant a rosemary from the grocery store, ours is so big (about 4 ft high and 6 ft diameter) people are surprised it’s a rosemary. It’s in the middle of our garden because I thought it would keep bugs out 😂

I propagated quite a few rosemary plants last spring (NJ zone 7b), and was able to sell a few at a yard sale. I’m doing it again this year. Rosemary is wonderful on roasted potatoes that have been *lightly* coated with good olive oil!

I've got acid haven't had luck keeping it until after I had work done on my porch. Some gravel and concrete bits were left near my rosemary and it started to thrive!

We live in desert climate and I found putting cuttings straight in the ground with a water drip system worked really well 😊

I’ve killed mine two years in a row. Now I know better than before. I love it. Just walk by and rub it on my hands for the aroma

Thank you so much for this video! I just got cuttings from my mom’s Rosemary plant so this is perfect timing. Also, that is a really cool tip about running the Rosemary stem through the grater to remove the leaves - SMART!! 🤯

This is my first year growing rosemary. I propagated one cutting successfully out of the 4 cuttings from my coworker’s rosemary bush. I can’t wait to see how much it will grow! Thanks for the info!

I’m in zone 7b and grow lots of rosemary outdoors in the ground and it grows just fine through the winter.

Last year, I took 24 short cuttings from a potted rosemary, stuck them in a couple of 12-cell packs, and 20 of them rooted within about 3 weeks. I was surprised. I thought a few would root at the most.

I live in zone 5 and mine made it through the winter planted outdoors! I was so surprised. It was a different winter, the ground didn't freeze so I think that is why it made it.

I’ve had terrible luck with Rosemary, but I did plant in my raised bed. I’m convinced that I need to find the most gnarly, neglected—but sunny place in my garden and see what happens.

Thanks Angela. I live near you in Scottsdale, I really appreciate your videos. You are a great teacher, and today you helped my rosemary! Ahh, a rare time that calls for the art of neglect! That I can easily do.
Your new planting guide is awesome, I highly recommend it.
