Max, if you weren't a physician by profession you could be an A-1 YouTuber. I have no plans to go to medical school, but I like your videos and watched this one to conclusion as well. Keep those videos coming!

As a medical student, that is pretty much the advice I give pre-meds. Pursue your passions. Do not strive to make yourself look just like every other applicant. That makes you not stand out.

Good points. My wife used to interview young applicants to work at a community clinic. She asked the question, " What have you done in your life?" The response was invariably a list of schooling. To which she would reply, " so.. the sum total of your life experience is being a student...?"

The cooking advice is weirdly very helpful, thanks <3 (maybe it's just me seeing I'm not the only one using air-fryer and slow cooker)

I agree having other interests will help you so much, knowing people....as they can get you past the initial "cutoff" list, as they play golf with the CEO, and talked about you. Many times, when you can say "John Smith" referred me, or your interest matches the person who reviews your resume, it helps. Anything to make you standout in a good way helps. This applies in life overall

Great video man! I could handle the stress of medical school, I have always wanted to be an anesthesiologist ever since I was a kid, it’s were my heart is! I really enjoy donating to the anesthesiologist Foundation, since it was hard for me to go to college because of my cerebral palsy! I really look up to all anesthesiologist and CRNA! It takes a special person and skill to be a anesthesiologist or CRNA

Thank you for the tip on the stethoscope! Was worried I’d have to spend $200+ on the one my school “offered”. Great vid as always Max

Max, your advice is true regardless of the professional degree one is pursuing.

I think the second monitor idea is a great one. I typically use my phone as the 3rd monitor 😢.

I split my screen into anki and entertainment with text book on my phone. But, I waste time opening google every now and then to look up things (not the fastest laptop). So, I feel like if I had an additional monitor, I would easily gain some time browsing on it or opening a text book on it rather than using my phone or my slow laptop to browse the net. I will consider getting one😅

Listening to you is like taking blood pressure medication.

I really like your videos. The information you present is relevant for both students and patients. I also like your presentation of topics which I find increases my confidence in new physicians. Thank you.
