Yeah, new cars are not the best deal and you definitely lose quite a bit, however over the past few years and especially right now interest rates are through the roof. So, unless you can pay cash for your car, then you are most likely better off buying a new car when they offer special financing rates in the range of 1.9-4.9% compared to paying 8-12+% interest. You're still going to lose a bit of money, but you'll probably have a lower monthly payment and you also get the piece of mind of knowing your car hasn't been severely abused, wrecked, or had a major repair. Better yet keep your old car and instead invest that money.
