Thank you so much for the review on the kits. When renting we've always bought our own and dropped everything off at a donation center at the end of our trip. This next time we were considering renting the kits, but I'm glad I watched this. I'll continue to get my own :) Thanks again!

Thanks for the info on Cruise America - it was very helpful. You mentioned El Monte and we have used that company before. Unfortunately they were a complete disaster! My 80 year old father-in-law wanted to try and see some of the states. He required the use of a wheel chair for mobility and needed oxygen tanks. The RV was supposed to be handicap accessible. It was not and to complicate things the toilet broke 1 day into the the trip. We contacted the company for assistance and they said they couldn't get a repair team out to us and we would have to wait to get it fixed at our final destination. We only agreed to continue because we had all ready made arrangements to stop at a hotel every night, giving the father a chance to have a private bed and bath. The RV was filthy and much of the interior was chipped and cracked. Would not recommend El Monte for anything.

OMG - I never checked into renting an RV here in America, I would have expected the kitchen to be stocked with the basics. Blankets sheets & pillows too, in a "just cleaned" sterile bag (same as what's provided when you rent a home or rental). Glad you were able to get past that experience and enjoy the rest of your visit. I haven't been to the West Coast yet, looking forward to it within in the nest 5yrs. KYD (Keep your Daydream) rented an RV in New Zealand, their videos were great, and the unit they rented was very clean and updated. Visting your homeland is on my bucket WISH list.

Great overall view. My husband & I are taking our trip in a 25ft RV in September, and my biggest concern is will it be clean! I've already spoken to the office where we are picking it up stating that it is a huge complaint for people. Of course I was assured it would be! We will see upon the initial walk through. Thanks for the video!

If you come to the US again for holiday, look at outdoorsy.com came across it on the google box earlier while looking for alternatives to cruise america. I am currently planning a trip across the US with my father and used that site.. It appears to be personal owners that have RV and rent them. Some are trailers some are campers, some have unlimited mileage some don't but they are pretty reasonable. Lots of variety and different models, the pricing is not set, its whatever each owner wants to charge. I ended up renting a 28 ft trailer, with outdoor sink / stove, shower, bathroom, unlimited miles and no generator fees for $750 / week, so ended up getting it for 2 weeks. We have not planned where to go yet, but 2 weeks should be sufficient. Oh and often the people will deliver it for free if you are in a 50 mile or so radius... but then again you would need to rent a vehicle to pull it... so it might come out even either way.

Thank you for posting an interesting and useful video. The future wife and I are getting married in Vegas on the Fourth of July 2019. Before we do, I need to clean out a storage unit in Austin. We thought about how we can use a large capacity vehicle during our stay in Texas. LaDama, an experienced traveler with an RV in New Zealand tells me, hey, why don't we hire a caravan (Spanish word for RV)? That is how Rosy appeared in my life.
