Props for admitting right up front that you don’t know something and then diving in to learn it. Every dad should show his kids that he doesn’t know everything but he’s willing to learn and not be afraid to “look dumb”.

The beginning walkthrough was extremely helpful. Watched couple rental rv videos recently get ideas of cost. The walkthrough showing and telling how everything worked was great . Watched tons of rv walkthroughs. Still felt a little clueless. But now easy to understand.

You have such a calm voice. Great video, and you seems like a good person, daddy and husband. Congrats on your family, God bless you.

Thanks for sharing your walk-through of this rental process. Even experienced RV renters want to know this information for this specific rental.

I've rented 3 times from Cruise America, what he said about the generator is the case. Say you want to heat something quickly in the microwave, you need to use it for an hour to be charged, the Hobbs meter needs to turn over to be charged. Also, the cab air conditioner will cool the whole rig if you run at idle so you can actually do without the generator, at least for a while. My rental was pre-pandemic, your video makes me want to do it again!

I am an experienced RV'ER.I loved your video and helpful hints. Your video is very helpful for newbies! 2 things yes gas is expensive but your family is together sharing the experiences and better to clean and sanitize once than many hotel rooms!! And airfares would be more. I am happy your family experienced this. For future RV trips - a pro tip never cross your fresh water hose with the sewer hose. Keep the fresh hose far as possible away from sewer. Thank you for the video!

This was helpful. We're renting one in a month to go on a camping trip, first time with our 2 year old daughter. I camped in rv's growing up with my grandparents, but this is the first time I'll be taking my own family out to do it.

Fair play for the video. Super informative. Planning on visiting America next year & hiring an RV for part of the trip.

Our family's first RV trip is 2 weeks out. 13 days with the wife, three young boys and a Miniature Schnauzer. Went with the 25 foot model so this video was super helpful. Agree that rent before buy is a good way to go.

Great video. Loved that you shared the prep part which a lot of people don’t share. It may be a lot, but it is worth it.

Thanks for this

I’ve planned my first rv trip for October. Going solo to a national forest about 5 hours away from home.

Been binge watching videos and tutorials from the cruise America website but it’s always good to hear it from various sources, helps it sink in more.

I’m a little nervous but more excited. I’ve done a lot of things solo i think i can handle it. Getting their smallest compact class c.
