100% learn your rudiments and make them Muscle memory. I personally like to use the inverted 5 stroke, RRlrLL. My favorite is this Flam accent, inverted flam taps to a flam tap groove with the kick accented on the flams notated and ofcourse the puggaddah RllRllrrLrrL
