Seed oil myth debunked

Every diet tribe needs an enemy, so the low carb community spins crazy stories about “seed oils” to play that role. The irony is that the low carb community doesn’t actually have any enemies. If low carb works for you, you’ll get nothing but high fives all around.

The problem with fake boogeymen in nutrition is they distract you from the real boogeymen, and there are plenty of things to be scared of.

If you avoid seed oils, you avoid most processed food and as such, are much more healthy eating fish, meat and vegetables

Jebus knows how the human species was able to survive for hundreds of thousands of years before the invention of heart healthy canola oil in 1974.

Nope, seed oils high in Omega 6 and refined carbohydrates that destabilize otherwise normal insulin function are definitely things to avoid.

Haha yea cause canola oil is a whole food. After it’s been refined and processed at extremely high heats, soaked in hexane. Just a whole food right? I’ll stick to tallow and ghee, actual Whole Foods

Videos like yours are so exciting! The industry is now fearing people waking up from the 50 year slumber from nutrition ignorance and junk artificial fats!

No thanks, no seed oils for me. If canola oil was being sold with its original name, no one would buy it

One of the keys to good health seems to be avoiding ultra processed foods. Seed oils are about as ultra-processed as foods get. There is a very strong association with seed oils and age related macular degeneration - a disease that was almost unknown in 1900. If you stick to foods humans were eating 200 years ago you will have a healthier life.

I would like to know who funded the studies "proving" seed oils safe and healthy...

My migraines are gone without seed oils. 30 years of migraines and headaches, and I tried so many things. Can you imagine a headache-free life? Now I can! This is not a "fake boogeyman". Seed oils are TERRIBLE

Any oil in a clear plastic bottle is one of the worst “goods” you can eat. Worst.

The "actual" data paid for by the seed oil industry. The simple fact that all disease has risen since the 1900's some as much as 4000% what came into use around that same highly processed seed oils.

Canola oil, real name is Canadian oil AKA rapeseed. Wasn't meant for human consumption however and has hi fatty acid content called Euricic acid, that has been shown to cause fibrotic lesions on the heart.

Used to be used as motor oil. Another industrial waste product that ended up in the human “food chain”, just like Yellow dye (Coal processing waste product) and Fluoride (Aluminium mining waste product)

The incredible importance of cell membranes, or membranes of any kind, you have to be nuts, no pun, to build them with rancid, oxidized, and chemical residued seed oils.

It's ultra processed and we are being told that it's ok 🤔 So ultra processed foods aren't necessarily bad 🤔 Someone please make that make sense 🤔

This is super simple. If you ask people to decrease seed oils, they will have to give up most industrialized foods and eat at home rather than restaurants. Those two things alone will lead to better health outcomes even though the oil itself might not have anything to do with it.

Yeha sure pal. Seed oils are totally not bad for you... Totally

Canola oil was originally used as a machine oil from Canada... It could not be used in food in Canada and many countries in Europe
