I know a tip that some people will find useful: when placing paths, if you place one over an open hole, it'll close the hole, saving you more time.

I learned you shouldn’t run around at night with a net out. I was collecting snowflakes to get 5X Nook+ points and got Michael Myers’d by a random tarantula. It happened last night and I am still trying to recover. I didn’t know that normal animal crossing could scar you for life.

Tbh I still have trauma of sprinting cause in the old games, sprinting across the grass would eventually make paths of dirt from the grass getting worn down 😅

I have some tips for the NEW NEW players-
1. Buy a swimsuit from one of the nooks(or on redeem nook mile) so you can access the other parts of your island
2. Buy or make a slingshot asap so you can pop the balloons and get useful stuff(furniture, materials, and coins!)

Learned shaking tree with net the hard way 💀

One of the first things you should buy is the swimsuit. You can get SO MUCH MONEY from the ocean, and reach the other parts of your island that are blocked off by rivers

One tip that is pretty helpful for resource gathering is to use a stone axe instead of a steel/gold one. This way you can get wood from your island trees without chopping them down!
It’s a simple one but I only processed that it was an option recently

there’s 10 money trees, 5 wasps nests and 2 item trees everyday! if you chop all your trees down and keep 17 you can get something guaranteed when shaking trees :3 that way when you shake a tree you won’t be disappointed when you don’t get anything XD (also chop ur money trees down bc they become a normal non fruit tree after shaking the bells off of it)

When you accidently dig a whole, don't use your shovel to cover it back up. Press Y, and you will use your feet, so no more shovel breaking

I hate the fact that I only started getting animal crossing tip videos TWO YEARS after I started the game. My island is ruined and I have no idea on how to fix it lol

My method for shaking trees:
1. Hold net
2. Put it away
3. Walk up to tree. Stand slightly to the side. Either side works
4. Shake tree
5. Use arrow button to equip your net.
6. Immediately press A
The timing works perfectly and it automatically puts you at the perfect angle to catch the wasps. This method is especially useful when chopping wood- just remember which arrow to press for your net

Big mistake I made when I started playing was I ate all of my fruit including the one sent by my mom so I can’t get each type of fruit 😅
