Because they mostly all have the same eye color, hair color, and similar eye and nose shapes. Europeans have different eye colors and hair colors. Europeans do have similar nose and eye shapes.

Thanks. I came here and was searching because I DO see similarities in my people. Like this dude I watch in YT looks and speaks similar to my cousin & I’ve noticed this often. Some people who have similar characteristics also have similar voice cadence and tones…maybe even lisps and slurs the same words…what’s that about . Is there like some genotype or phenotype stuff

Take a photo from any white rural American town. Are these kids British, Irish, German, Italian, French, Polish, Russian. No luke you might get lucky but there is no way to know. It's the same with all African tribes and Asian countries unless you are from there. I am white, I can tell you if someone is German or English with a very good success rate. Let's all stop making this such a big deal. They have people out there that are white and look just like a black guy only a different color. Lots of look-alikes.

I'm brown and I don't think black people look alike, I can tell them apart very easily, unlike Asians which are challenging to me. I think it's because most Asians have monolid eyes, and eyes are the first thing you lay your eyes upon on someone's face

My kids keep mixing the identities of some of our african friends. Which is extra embarrassing as we are ourselves a mixed race family and they go to a diverse school too. What's crazy is that the two guys are totally different. Our Zimbabwean friend is light brown, with a beard, and shorter then I am (and I'm short). The other friend from Nigeria is very dark, close-shaven, and over 2m tall! But to my little kids, somehow, they are indistinguishable.
Your video gives me hope they will grow out of it, lol.

I'm going to be talking more about how cognitive biases play a role in race ideology.
So many people like to defend race as being biological with the argument "there are dominant phenotypes that are unique to race groups" when the reality is we see in ways that our simple to make quick assessments of what we interact with.
Yes some people look very similar but most people don't. For example I've done portraits of people's faces since I was 9 yrs old.
Faces are so nuanced to me that I can tell identical twin a part in person very easily.
It's a skill I learned from being observant so when people confuse me with someone who isn't even part of my phenotypes range it's the byproduct of an unskilled mind.
People just need to stop being lazy.
