Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

“Prey” stars Amber Midthunder (“The Ice Road,” “Roswell, New Mexico”), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (“Sooyii”), Michelle Thrush (“The Journey Home”), Julian Black Antelope (“Tribal”), and Dane DiLiegro (“American Horror Stories”) as the Predator. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison (“Jack Ryan,” “Treadstone”), with a story by Patrick Aison & Dan Trachtenberg based on characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. It is produced by John Davis (“Jungle Cruise,” “Predator”), Jhane Myers (“Monsters of God”), and Marty Ewing (“It: Chapter Two”), with Lawrence Gordon (“Watchmen”), Ben Rosenblatt (“Snowpiercer”), James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Marc Toberoff (“Fantasy Island”) serving as executive producers.

This was a really good film. Seeing the Predator properly stalking his prey and learning about his targets definitely gave the creature a stronger parallel to a big game hunter. If there's a sequel, I'd love to see Greyback and Naru team up to take out a Bad Blood Predator.

Since we have seen Naru handed the “Raphael Adolini 1715“ back to her tribe, are we gonna see a the pirate story with the Greyback Predator in the future? 

From what I remembered seen in Predator 2, the Elder GreyBack handed that pirate pistol to Lt. Harrigan as a Trophy.

This movie makes the original seem even more cocaine fueled 80's mayhem than it already does. Prey is my new favorite Predator movie in a dramatic sense. OG Predator is my favorite for being absolute 80's madness with biceps. The Brother and Sister bond in this movie didn't come across as campy or off. It felt natural and I felt pride for the Brother defending his Sister. In that 1v1 fight you feel that what was driving his insane fighting technique was his sisters survival, not his own. It set up her triumph so effectively.

When Arnold made Predator he was the biggest action star in the world plus he was backed by a great supporting cast. I've never heard of any these actors.

Pls do another one like this ! it is the best film since the pandemic startet and for me its on the same level as Predator 2 if not a bit better ... I love it !
but one little thing looks a little wierd... the eyes on the Predator could get a little closer to each other ;P

Honestly, I'm really surprised how good this film is. Beautiful camera shots in amazing nature, glimpse off Comanche culture... and brutal Predator... Please, let Dan Trachtenberg do the sequel and give him much higher budget and more time to avoid those little mistakes... and at least for once, let Predator win.
