How to install additional SATA SSD/HDD disk to HUAWEI MateBook D 15 (2020)

In this video you'll find out how to install 2.5'' SATA drive (SSD or HDD) into Huawei Matebook D 15 2020.

The D 15 2021 model doesn't have SATA- connector on motherboard ever thought it has free space for 2.5'' SATA drive inside chassis.

The laptop doesn't have SATA-cable and mount preinstalled from factory. Those you have to purchase separately, for example here:
To open the back cover use Torx T5 screwdriver.

Thank you this was extremely helpful. My only gripe was not to do with you but the kit I had, which came with both rubber mounts and a bracket. Neither would allow me to re-close the unit. Had to install without, however hard drive does not rattle around despite not being snug/screwed in when placed in that area.

Hello! Help please. I also have huawei matebook D15. Unfortunately my disk had default partition (C) and (D) . I wanna remove this to have only one disk but dont know can you help?

I have a question please ... when you install the hdd on the laptop ... will the laptop use the existing ssd or the new hdd as the operating system ??? .. I mean will the laptop be slower because the hdd being slower than the ssd ? ... and my second question ... what are the options that we can install on that free slot ??? Thank you very much

Hi can someone help me with the 2021 d15 - i5 processor version —- got the bay n connector all done but on the actual motherboard can’t find the slot to put the connector into for 2.5” drive. Looked for it all over (first place was Wer it’s showed on the video and surrounding area) nothing there ??!!
