The check that’s flashing is to inform you to check the check lights over the mirror. After you press the check butto on that display the flashing stops. It’s to let the car know you saw what’s wrong with it.
And the oi lights means you run low on engine oil.
You have the service bar on the odometer to indicate you the time to make and oil and filter change.

Do you happen to know if there is any other possible method of deciphering codes on a 153 ECU? I have not been able to find anything online. If not then replacing the ECU is no big deal but it would be nice to not have to do it if possible.

I’ve got the right ECU and have tried multiple times to get the codes to come up but it won’t. Could it be because the throttle cable is a little loose not allowing the throttle to go wide open

Dude, you literally said you weren't paying attention, just edit the video to do it right the first time, LOL. Also if you hold the pedal down for 15 seconds after the last code, you essentially reset the light on the dash, but if it's real it will come back anyway.
