Thank you so much for your short comment on the 2.5 engine issues about topping off gas tank too much!!!! I did that all the time and that was causing a very intermittent but quite worry some engine shutoff & buck on in my 2013 golf, 2.5.
Honestly that may have saved me from seriously considering a new car, I say that because I knew it would be an endless rabbit hole of cost, time and frustration having a shop or dealer 'trying' to fix the issue.

I stopped squeezing that extra .5 gallons of gas in each fill up, replaced the N80 valve from Deutsche Auto Part and no check engine light and not a buck since!!!

Again thanks for your videos and sharing your knowledge. I NEVER would have put topping off the tank with an engine buck together.

Ok, here’s a few things to potentially save you hundreds of dollars. Before you take your car in, buy a $60 scan tool and read the codes. Mine said “air fuel ratio imbalance”. I disagree that if the yellow engine light comes on, you should not drive the vehicle. Here’s why. This happened to both my 2012 A7 and 2015 Q3 - the yellow check engine light came on and I, wait for it………..first, removed the gas cap, pushed the rubber around the filler tube down hard away from the filler neck, checked the gas cap gasket and gas filler tube for dirt and cleaned the surfaces. Secondly, pull the oil cap and check for debris. Yes, you’ll find plenty of dirt and grime around there - clean the oil filler area and pull the rubber gasket off the oil cap, clean it with solvent, turn it over and replace the oil cap. Use a diagnostic tool you used to check the codes and erase the codes. Turn the car off and then on again and I’ll wait for you to respond to this post that it worked! It did for me……Good luck!

Interesting...My EPC and check engine light came on same time. The car went into "limp" mode. I turned off the car waited and then turned it back on. The check engine light came back on but the EPC light stayed on. I put my scanner to see the codes. Scanner said cylinder#2. Now could this be a coil pack issue. Please advise. We just bought a 2019 Volkswagen Passat 2.0t Wolfsburg Edition, I noticed that the service engine light was on. Is there any way I can get the codes with a code reader, I mean I have one that you'd hook up to the car under the steering wheel, can I use that code reader on this car? It is a push button start car

I have no check engine lights on but obdeleven shows I have 3 codes one is engine the other is the transmission and the other is the heater seats

I just barely got a check engine light for my Audi TT Mk1 and I didn’t think much of it, since my car seemed to be running fine, but when I started it up later on, the idle was very rough which it hadn’t ever done before. Any ideas what that could mean? The light isn’t flashing but it’s on

My 2016 vw jetta se tsi has push button starter with break & a solid check engine light on but, problem with obd II scan to clear code on p2263 turbo reads “fail” & turn car off/to start position then; press any key to clear codes. What is start position? When I try to clear the codes, I hear a clicking sound under the hood.
