FBX Bundle -- Blender to Game Engine Export Made Easy

Показать описание
FBX Bundle is one of those free Blender add-ons you really need to add to your toolkit. It enables you to do one click exports to game engines such as Unity and Unreal, as well as COLLADA and glTF. It also enables you to automatically perform tasks like LOD generation, AO, collision meshes and more. It also automatically handles z-axis issues on export.

I have a set of building modules (foundations, walls, doors, roofs) made in Blender, each having two LODs, different pivot points etc. I wouldn't say that I had any troubles while exporting them into Unity, but this tool looks interesting. Definitely going to check it out.

Very nice looking tool.

I think the title is a bit confusing. I thought it was talking about something related to the Blender Game Engine which is now defunct (to my knowledge). I was going to skip it because of that, but decided to watch anyway. Maybe throw to between blender and game engine and make game engine plural to fix?

I just hope this stops me from having to manually rotate a human model by 180 degrees every time I put it in a unity scene. Neither Z Forward or -Z Forward seems to solve this problem with the default blender FBX Export addon. It is not that big of a deal it just seems that it is such a simple thing that it should be fixed.

Damn. I thought my troubles with Unity export were finally fixed. But nope, looks like I'm still stuck with this mess. No matter what I do, when I export my character models from Blender to Unity, it always seems to massively screw with the rotation. Sometimes sideways, sometimes backwards, but always a pain in the ass. So many times I've had to scrap animation work because what looked fine AND even re-used a rig I already knew was in the correct orientation would turn out to completely crap out its rotation once I set the proper 'root' bone for root motion.

Really hoped this would finally fix the export process so that I could maybe save the wasted time and get my animations back, but nope. :( This completely destroys rigs/animation.
