Exporting has never been so easy, has it?

Tip for guys who followed tutorial and got error:
When importing, choose Binary export format instead of ASCII.
Then, open Blender and inside go to file -> import -> FBX, chose correct file and when it loads, save it as .blend extension.
Hope that will work for you as it did for me.

The title says export to Blender, but you exported to 3D Max. You left it on Ascii, but Blender REQUIRES Binary to import. I get other errors too, but we're not even looking at blender so this tutorial was a complete waste of my time.

TWO major points of failure here, 1: you exported in the Ascii format which BLENDER CANNOT USE and 2: Your video is Unity to Blender, yet you use Autodesk... come on.

do you know how to export animation? I've tried using the FBX exporter, but when I import the animation they just come out blank :(
I'm exporting to Unreal... so maybe there's another step I'm missing?

This is just what I was looking for. I recently installed an asset pack that requires you to used fbx for some of the things you want to set up. I was able to make the items in unity but couldn't turn them into fbx and was worried I would have to do all the work in blender manually which seemed like a pointless step since I was setting it all up in unity anyway.

Could you do a tutorial for bringing materials and colors in the exported fbx to blender? Bcuz when the exported fbx is opened in blender, there is no color element present.

Thanks for the tip, though I don't get anything outside of Base Color regarding textures when I import into Blender. How to fix that?

Exporting an FBX from Unity is really easy, just click export... but Unity FBX exporter is also supposed to export animations too. There doesn't seem to be a single video online that shows how to do that, and even many requests to Unity from users on their forum have gone unanswered. The problem is that Unity applies the animation to the root (even if you change the "source" and "target" settings), so when you load the exported rig you will see the character (for example) with the humanoid rig, but the humanoid rig doesn't move and the model is flipping all over the place because the animation is just moving the root around. Unity staff have mentioned online that they don't know what the issue is or how to fix it (for years now), so maybe you have some advice, or if you could do a tutorial, you'd be the first in he world Thanks to anyone who replies with some info.

I have a problem, I exported a fbx model with asset studio, when I open the file in blender I see the model with its bones but I can't move it because the vertex groups are not there. When I open the file in unity the model appears, the bones and can be moved so I would like to export the file from unity to fbx but when I try the same as you did in the video nothing appears in blender. Do you have any solution?

I'm having issues with exporting from Blender to Unity. Can you make a video about it? When i export my models as fbx files, their transform gets broken. Show us the right export settings please 🥺
