Disney seems to be in full-on Star Wars mode, releasing a new movie every year since The Force Awakens in 2015. 2016 brought us Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that followed Jyn Erso and her crew of Rebels as they tried to steal the plans to the Death Star. But how exactly did that movie come to be? How did they settle on making a movie about a little line in the text crawl for A New Hope? What about bringing Peter Cushing back from the dead via CGI? Why does every character die in an explosion? Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.
