Dear Mr Carsauce, I'm not sure it was a good idea to make these videos. To admit faults exist, then downplay the issues impact, makes for strange viewing. Ford hasn't agreed to replace many vehicle's for owners with faulty new models. Some owners can't/won't drive them because of many mechanical and tech issues, causing safety issues. The small percentage you stated is actually Fords warranty passmark, not how faultless the cars are. Maybe your minds are clouded by borrowing and flogging a vehicle which you didn't spend your own money to purchase. All vehicle's are tested properly by Father Time...

What do you think!!! Should we do one of these on the HiLux, DMax and Triton?? 🤔

The first 4 minutes of this presentation, this guy was apologising for Rangers poor componentry and Fords poor aftersales customer service. The presenter then moved on to talk about how he has learnt to compensate for shortcomings of Fords electronic technology and how 'it's not that big a deal', after-all it does 'drive itself down the highway'. Then we got into the Rangers 'jittery' and 'creaky' drive characteristics, but it was still his favourite to drive. Am I the only one that was listening to what was said in this lame presentation?

My ford ranger 4x4 2013 model has no issues at all. Only the battery that needs to be changed. So far so good. Still loving my ford.

The 3.2 5cyl was a 50/50 gamble, it would either last 200k without issue or shit itself at 70k and the auto was another issue all together. I do like the Ranger but ill never buy one

My new work ranger was on a tow truck at 700km due to injectors, our other new ranger has just had a gearbox failure at 5000km.

Bought the 2023 Ford Ranger XLT in October, it has been at Ford workshop for 6 days for an oil leak repair. The bakkie has 5000 km on the clock. I’m trading it in for a Hilux

The fact you guys are rambling off these issues (and even the supplier cause)… doesn’t make for a heart warming redemption.😬

Well we love our Ranger, problem free so far, tows fantastically, handheld well. Has an amazing comfortable ride compared with other utes we drove. Quiet inside, especially from road noise.

The 3.0 Litre is Not a brand new engine. It is a heaviliy modified 2.7 V from old Ford Territory, which were also used in various Land Rover, Jaguar and Peugeot

I brought one after watching this review and found it helpful, its 10 times better than my last hillux 2015, even when the screen malfunctions or engine lights on :')

What I don't get is the number of people willing to order, and then wait for, a basically a new and unproved vehicle. I like the new Ranger on paper, but don't trust Ford - any more than any of them - to get everything right first go.

Yup, I have bring my car back to the dealer 4 times in 6 months for software issues, but all have shorted out. Now everything works well !

I owned previous Ranger and Everest and I can honestly say they were shit boxes. I wont say what I got instead to save myself the hassle of people saying I am just a fan boy of a certain brand.

My 2017 Ford Ranger Wildtrak was great for the first 4 years of ownership. The last year was a nightmare, over heating, egr valve problems, the media system shutting off and on during journeys. Rust on rear suspension and the paint started fading. 40k miles then got rid. Great vehicle when working but turned into a nightmare . I am hoping to get the newer model hopefully the v6

The A/C is crap with leakage problems that are in the dashboard somewhere. As no uv dye showing anywhere within the engine compartment. And it's not just mine! 2016 by the way.

People pick on ford the Trolls pile on but at the end of the day the other makes are no better Keep up the maintenance on any vehicle which some people dont do and then they have problems Its usually the General Moters TROLLS.

A big issue I see that Ford is trying to overcome, and hopefully will do with future models, is to shake off the reputation they have had for many years. Ford have had some bad models, engines and transmissions in recent years and Ford’s connection with the less reliable brands of Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, Volvo and Lincoln is a point of question for their current line up of vehicles.
