Build this - Joytrainer mini | How to make an RC airplane?

preview_player
Показать описание
This model airplane is a trainer, an evolution of the project we made some time ago, the Joytrainer, that airplane was big and cool, it was based on the Simple Storch by Flitetest, some people wanted to have a smaller version, also I thought it should be compatible with cheaper components, and so I did it. The new model is portable and simple to make.

You did a great job designing and building this plane. We in the hobby appreciate what you have done. Its not easy designing and building an RC plane, let alone making a video. I am not an expert at any of it but know enough to help others save money by giving people tips on how to get into the hobby. Any time someone can save money and get into the hobby, they can enjoy what they have done because its something they have done. Anyone can buy a ready to fly airplane if they have the money. Ignore those people that send you negative comments concerning your design and build. Those people have nothing better to do and couldn't design a soup can telephone on a string. Its a great hobby and hopefully many people have tried your plane.

This is a very good tutorial for the complete beginner. I'm about to embark on my first foam build with a precut kit, but I hope to follow up with some scratch builds.

I really enjoyed watching this video. Like a combination of plane builder and designer. Great job!

I fly a ready made foam plane and have been amazed at the level of repairs that have been possible yet it still flies perfectly. My plane did not include your fancy landing gear design. I don’t think it has rolled truly straight for dozens of flights (this is tricky for take off but perhaps worse for landing because it is like applying vast amounts of braking force when it touches the grass at which point it would nose over and put the rudder into the turf). I plan to make a new gear support soon, meanwhile I have learned that a bit of throttle at touchdown keeps it on its feet.

I hope to build up the confidence to try this design! Thank you for explaining each step with video showing the details!

Your videos are pretty amazing. The last time I flew a remote controlled plane was in the mid 1960s. It was a one button system that activated a solenoid on a rubber band loaded escapement. Things have certainly come a long ways since then. Thanks for putting out such wonderfully detailed videos on this great art.
Be well,
Isidro

Today printed your plan, started to build. Impresive. Very solid, simple, and well thought plan. Have suggestion wings are ~53 cm, but lot of people buying foam in 50 x 50 cm, it is used for ceiling, cheap to buy. If plane were 10% smaller, would be easier a bit. Another thing, have you tried to print plan on sticker? That way probably would be a bit faster, because, you can instanstantly cut sticker and foam.

Great build. Not many curvy parts, thus making the build easier. Will make a one for me soon. Keep the good work👌👌

I wanna build cloud149 cinewhoop but being a student I gotta save up a good time... I've bought flysky fs-i6x tx and use it for liftoff and velocidrone. Now I'mma get 2 2207 motors and 2 3s packs and get cheap esc and servos and mke this! At least I'll have something to fly as I save for my future drone❤

I am planning to make this plane out of corrugated plastic. If I were to use an internal combustion glow OS Engine, which size of glow engine would best suit this plane?

If I use 1000kv bldc motor with 10inc propeller, is it good for this size model?

Sir can I use 1000kv brushless motor?
The 2200kv is really expensive

Hey man made one in just 26 minutes. Kind of like fly test but longer. Any advice on flying in the Smokey mountains?
