I built one and finally flew it this morning. It was awesome! It’s the first 4 channel airplane I’ve ever flown and it was a blast 👍

Just finished building it myself. Looks great and generally easy to build. Good job!

I'm 73, been flying planes since 1959. First with Plastic C/L planes then to Balsa, Flat Fuse, Flat wings. then, of course, full fledge Build-up, ribs for the wings and just flat sides for the fuse.
Today I have a couple of the R/C trainers, 59 - 60 in wings, these are flown with 40-46 sized engines. I like running the engines, so, I'm a "Wet" flier.
One of my "fun" plane designs is a 25 in. WS build- up wing and flat fuse powered with a Cox .049 engine, two channels, ail & elv. set the needle, give it a toss, belly land for there is no LG just a tapered skid.
Flight times are in the 6 - 8 minutes, last minute I climb as high as comfortable, the engine runs out of fuel. Another 5-6 minutes of Free Flight doing loops, rolls and hammer head stalls, then to my hand to catch it.
Fly all afternoon with a Quart of Fuel so much fun.

Great video! Neat project! I've never built or flown a RC plane, but now I want to do both!

Really like that control rod connection method with the heat shrink, I’ll be trying that!

The way it takes off so easyly is awesome!! Congratulations! Definitely it must be built with flaps.

I hope you enjoy this video and take your free time during this pandemic to build it, take care and fly on open spaces without having contact with others, that help save lives, at the same time there's no need to fear, just be aware and take care.

Shrink wrap around the push rod to make a quick disconnect, you are a genius !!!!

There is a foam angle cutter you can buy to cut foam in 90 and 45 deg, the 45 deg hinge cuts and 90 deg bends will be extremely accurate and aesthetically the plane will look much better

When will the "improved version" that you mention at the end be available? What are you looking at changing?

I am finding that anyone can tech me to make rc airplane then my friend recommend your YouTube channel I like your channel but I have questions why you not recommend 1400kv motor and if I not make flaps then what is it disadvantage and advantage and what is the size of front wheel and rear wheel

Wish you could show how you setup the radio and how to know what range you might get with different configurastions

Flies real good, really gentle, I think I will give it a try. Only downside is, when you lawndart your plane, and chances are you will as a beginner, I have for sure :), motor will never be as good. Pusherplanes have that advantage.

This looks sick! Im super exited to do this. But i do want to know how exactly i would register with the FAA or if i have too? Im new to the hobby and i dont know if maybe my parts might require me to register my plane. here are the electeronics im planning to install in this plane

1400kv outrunner motor
50c 2200mh Battery 7.4v
6x servos
30 amp ESC.

do theese parts require me to register? please let me know. i definetly dont want to go breaking any sort of laws!

Thanks,

(i am a recreational flyer and mostly fly at my local highschools feilds)

Thanks a LOT. After losing my rc first airplane on my third flight (due to wind, misaligment of the controls due to previous similator practice and many human ME errors as always), I am ready to fly again and this looks like a great option to be passionate about what you are creating and the care on it. I will do it, thank you!
