Film Theory: Star Wars, How The Mandalorian PROVES the Empire was Right!

With the return of The Mandalorian season 2 to Disney+, I felt it was about time to also return to a Star Wars theory. In a previous theory, I talked about how the Jedi could be construed as an 'evil' order. Today, I'm taking that kind of idea and flipping it to talk about the Empire itself! I think The Mandalorian provides us with even more clues that the Empire may not be as wrong in it's philosophy as we thought! How? Why? Well Theorists, make sure you Baby Yoda is somewhere safe because this is about to take a turn to the dark side...

Reminds me of a quote from Genghis Khan:
"Conquering the world on horseback is easy, it is dismounting and governing it that is difficult"

Fun fact, Alderaan had an extremely powerful private military, that if it had survived, would have been a huge thorn in the empires side.

In season two, mayfield says something along the lines of “It doesn’t matter who rules to these people. Empire, republic, they’re all just people taking over their homes”

About alderann, palpatine got pretty mad when it blew up, he said that tarkin was lucky he died on the death star, I wonder what palpatine was planning on doing to tarkin if he survived

About the empire and the ewoks, I'm not sure about current canon, but in legends the ewoks and the empire were certainly not on good terms by the time the rebels got there. This one elderly ex-stormtrooper even recounts the events like a survival horror story, slowly losing more and more members of his platoon to the dreaded ewoks. In the end when he was captured, he begged for the rebels to take him instead of leaving him to the ewoks.

So what you're saying is...

Winning was easy, governing's harder?

I think I also read somewhere that while jedi aren't allowed to have connections or communicate to friends of family after they have been "taken in for training", stormtroopers of the empire only aren't allowed to communicate to others when they are in the death star because it has to stay hidden.

When the client says the Empire improves every system it touches, he's not wrong. Just doesn't state who benefits from it. I wouldn't say Mimban, Kashyyyk, Lothal, Mustafar,
Geonosis, Ryloth, Mon Cala, or Mandalore where improved by the Empire so much as they improved the Empire of the backs of the inhabitants.

If you’ve read the book “lost stars” it shows multiple planets exploited for all its resources, entire species put into slavery and a complete disregard for all life including their own officers while the galaxy was under imperial rule.

Something that wasn't mentioned that is actually integral: the second Death Star was purposely made to look unfinished to trick the rebels. When the battle of endor happened the second Death Star was in fact finished, which is why they had to disable the shield and why Sidious was present in the battle station

You should do a theory on how much the imperial credits are worth.

Also, most of the stormtroopers were relatively harmless, just doing their duty as soldiers. They’re either normal conscripted people from the Galaxy, or clones that are loyal to the empire’s cause of social order. It’s not like they’re hostile in every encounter, like pointed out with the Ewoks or how they are on Lothal in Rebels.
