What settings are the best for the PG278QR for image quality and performance?

I have MG279Q and it's awesome too (27 inch, 144 Hz, 1440p). Even it has one stuck pixel from the box :)

I ordered this monitor last night for $430 US, but in Taiwan, which is around 13, 555 NT, but anyway. It will be arriving either tomorrow or the day after, and I am really looking forward to taking advantage of my GTX 1080 ti. I have been using a Benq GL2450 @ max 60hz for around 6 years, first on an old GTX 660 ti, a few years later to the 1080 ti. I couldn't pass up the price, even though the monitor is a couple years old. It used to go for $700.

Watching this on this exact monitor. It's the best monitor I've owned to date as well.
BTW, 3D Vision is actually quite brilliant in a lot of games. The immersion in a lot of games goes to another level. But, of course it comes at an additional price of the 3D Vision kit and a top of the line Nvidia graphics card.

3:35, 0.25 speed, whats is this? micro stutering? game engine? Im asking cause I need a G-Sync monitor cause I`m sick of games that renders faster than the monitor can show, so even at 60 fps it stutters

I would really appreciate the help, a friend gave me a asus monitor a while back with no cords and I’ve been trying to figure out what it is and how to set it up, I look at the bottom of the monitor and the model number says PG248 with no Q or anything and I can’t find anything about it online either, I really need some help here

Didn't expect monitors.... but oh well, , that'll do.
im more of a eye candy, and picture quality person which is why i own a 5K Dell UltraSharp Monitor. and simply cannot imagine going back to a 4K display let a lone a 2K one.
But the refresh rate here is 165hz ! i mean most of such monitors are 144 or 120 or even 100hz but this thing beats them all ! except the 240hz Asus that comes with only FullHd res. and all the fine details of this monitor such as USB 3.0 makes it a wonderful purchase for people who like games like Forza or F1 2017 or any Rally games.
Yes its lacking IPS, yes it has a harsh price to swallow. But i bet you this Monitor will find its owners real quick !

Is that backlight bleed in the top left, or the light in your room?

Does it include the HDMI and the display port cable in the box?

Lol buying this model for 3D gaming. Been into 3D vision since 2010. Monitor is selling for 200-300 plus euros or even more second hand.

I do not see the differences so great that I am also a Daltonist but not so seriously ... it is something minor ... and what I want to say is that it is silly to say that the differences between a TN panel and IPS is the viewing angle because you will never play in the corner of the monitor, but I think you'll stand in front of him right? And a TN panel has extra response time.
So what would you choose between Asus ROG PG278QR and Asus ROG PG279Q but strict performance .. I do not care about the price

my only problem with this monitor is its size. 27" just won't cut it for me anymore coming from gaming on a tv for quite some time. i switched now back to gaming on a monitor, but got myself the 34" ultrawide Acer Predator X34A. Only issue i have with mine (and this here in the video) is the brightness. something over 500 nits would've been nice. those offer only around 350

These new Asus Tn monitors are much better than the average Tn monitor. The color is really good. However the IPS is still better in terms of colors and texture. The problem with the ips screens are the price.

You also have to deal with IPS glow that is present on almost all IPS monitors. I am waiting patiently for a 100hz 4k HDR ips monitor, I think that will be the ultimate monitor for image quality.
