That's really excellent news - I have a 2021 Stance with only a 500Wh battery - I'm quite a heavy 70-year old doing lots of riding and my almost 2-year old battery is down to 90%-93% battery health, so my range is seriously diminished. Just hope this battery is going to be available in South Africa. Great review - thanks.🙏

Nice work Sam, shame Bosch didn’t turn there 625wh battery into a 750wh battery 🔋 and backwards compatible.

Such a good review, certainly will stick with the standard battery on the e-trance I am looking to purchase, push to the limit and then look to upgrade later…

Having just bought the battery and run a Giant. This data was invaluable to me. Thanks for the test. GDay Cobba,

Nice video. Interesting numbers mate.
I get 30km and 1000m of elevation on my exe. Mostly trail mode. I'm 100kg. Super lights and tech moving on. Seems to be down to what sort of power the rider wants from the motor

My 22 reign has 625w battery and I've had 40km+ 1800m elevation & 75-85% battery used riding mostly tour/trail. I've been blown away by the range and I weigh 95kg, everybody is different but for me after 35kms I'm pretty much over it energy wise so the 625w is the sweet spot, but if I had to buy a new battery I'd go for the 800w seems a no brainer.

Hi Sam, thank you for another great review.

I will probably buy the 800wh upgrade since I feel it needs a slightly longer range, this would easily put me at the 30 mile range with 4000 feet of climbing

Just pulled the trigger and put one of these big boys into my 2019 e+0 Trance which came with a 500w/h battery. To make the 800w/h fit there was a bit of shaving of plastic for the 2019 battery cover to clip in. But after that its a plug and play affair. I cant feel the weight difference riding the bike so no problems there.
Yes its a bit of an outlay, but really beats buying a new bike for 8-9 times the price.

Would it be a better option to use the Giant water bottle range extender at 200w?

Curious if auto-assist mode has had any advantage with battery consumption? Wife’s LIV Tempt E+3 seems to be more efficient in auto than manually adjusting assist.
