Testing the Toyo Extensa HP II 2023 | Tire Rack

The Toyo Extensa HP II came into this test as a relatively unknown competitor for our team, a new-to-Tire-Rack option that our team was excited to test out and see what it was capable of.
Our evaluation used 2022 Subaru BRZ Limited test vehicles fitted with new, full tread depth 225/40R18 tires mounted on 18x8.0 wheels.

I have these in my Honda Fit (195/50/R15 87V) and I will say Tire Rack is very accurate with these tires. Its a decent 3/5 overall. I take into account of not only performance but for a day to day ride quality, and if I am someone who doesn't care about performance - just someone that needs tires. The price on these tires is probably the cheapest compared to competitors. The next competition to these tires would be Ironman iMove GR906 by cooper tires OR LingLong' Crosswing UHP. The more costly ones are Goodyears or Contenital but those do run at a premium.

I have these for 1 year and 12000 miles. 235/50R18 on my 2017 Buick Regal. they not the best for sure but it’s really decent tire from tread wear and “sporty” perspective. Hard to beat for the money.
What I’ve noticed.
1. Good tread life
2. Probably Not the quietest but quite tire
3. Strong side wall but the other side of it is that your butt feels it. if you wanna fill sporty it’s a +.
4. Not the best in rain but good.
So overall decent tire.
But it you don’t have much to spend and you need long lasting tire for the money, this one is your choice.

I’ve got mine for $145 in 2023 at discount tire they’ve had price matched to Walmart. Original price was $160ish.

Can’t say I’ve ever had great experiences from Toyo. Reliable enough rubber, but not quite top of the pack.

This review feels about right. If I paid full price for these I would be disappointed, but I got them from someone who bought them and sold the car or whatever, still had the stickers. Paid $225 for 4 new in 245 45 18. At that price you can't go wrong. But they are definitely too noisy.

these tires have been very underwhelming in both dry and wet grip on my 99 miata. treadwear is ok but these dont feel ultra high performance all season to me at all. good to see tire rack data matches my experience. do not recommend.

.These are the Worst tires Ive ever had, had on the car for over a month and already switching to Nitto NT555 G2.
These Toyo spin from 40 on a hot FL day.Would never buy Toyo again

This tires are not safe had 2 tires blow on me and the tired tire ready to blow too.
All the tires started forming cracks and pumps on the side wall and tires did had a year on them stay safe people
