There is lots of drama about the minimum requirements that Microsoft has announced for Windows 11. If you have found that your PC can't run Windows 11 then there are some alternatives. Here is my list of the top 5 alternative to Windows 11.

The biggest advantage of Chrome OS is that you know outright that every single bit of data about you is being collected, so you don't have to feel confused about what data they have on you, you just know that it's everything.

During Microsoft Windows 11 event, they didn’t even mention a single word of privacy

"Windows probably won't run on your system"

Linux users: "Oh anyways"

Already running linux and it taught me more than anything else about computers.

I think windows 11 has more system requirements than GTA V. Because my PC seems to run GTA V smoothly but it can't run windows 11.

Microsoft is definitely going to relax the requirements. There's no reason to cut off processors prior to 8th gen. Cutting off a vast majority of their market would be a stupid decision.

Although the “fragmentation” and “hostile environment” are very real in the Linux world, I want to assure anyone interested in Linux that they are much less severe now. So many distros give everyone the option to try and choose according to her/his needs. And if you dig around a bit, you will find forums that are much friendlier and decorous than those of Windows or Mac.

Although the caveats of using Linux mentioned by Gary here are well-intentioned, he should’ve mentioned the caveats of Windows and Mac, too. Windows is notorious for its privacy violation and security issues, and Mac suffers from unnecessarily set price tags and unnecessarily closed computing environments.

I grew up on Windows, then eventually moved to Mac for a few years, then moved to Linux. Never going back.

Give Linux a chance: it's highly compatible with all sorts of hardware, mostly very resource efficient and very easy to install and use.

Mac OS isn't an alternative because it isn't available legally for PC's. Linux is the only alternative. Oh how I wish that IBM kept OS/2 development going.

I was very happy with the Microsoft announcement on windows 11 until I learned the sad truth😬.

Lubuntu for me. Fancy effects no longer impress me. I just want speed and low resource usage. But I'll checkout Fedora (with LXDE and LXQt) and Zorin OS now that you've mentioned it. My first Linux OS was Fedora Core 1.

Best OS is the OS that fits ones requirements for me it’s macOS, years ago I was working for an R&D ltd company so it was Windows NT 4.x at the time so requirements change as well as OS so I never view one OS better than another rather what’s best for what I’m doing

Not dissing the content, but the title of this video reads like a clickbait article and, true to such form, the number 2 did not shock me but it was also not an alternative to running Windows 11.

My vote goes to MX Linux. I’m a relatively recent convert, after many years with Ubuntu. 😎👍

I already use Linux, it seems to run a little bit faster on older machine. Also, I don't need LibreOffice, LaTeX is just fine :)

I feel like Linux’s market share is going to multiply in the next few years…

I'm a Linux Mint user myself, and I believe it is a viable (and faster) alternative to Windows if you aren't tied to Windows-only software.

i was hoping for Linux on the 1st spot but kubuntu is very friendly for new users because it is ubuntu with the kde desktop

What about a 3rd gen i7?
LMAO, I would have upgraded if there were chips, or at least chips at msrp and not at 200% the price. I really hate that my chip that launched a decade ago that still spanks whatever I want it to run is being strong armed into retirement.
