The 5 Points of Calvinism Explained: Total Depravity.

The first letter of the TULIP is T which stands for Total Depravity. Total Depravity teaches that we are dead in our sins until made alive by God (Ephesians 2). The Sovereignty of God is seen in salvation. Through the process of election, God has chosen who will be saved and then predestination, that their salvation comes to fruition, and then regeneration where the Holy Spirit takes the dead sinner and makes him alive that he may comprehend the great news of the gospel. The battle between Calvinism and Arminianism has been going on for quite some time now but when we take a look at what is Calvinism, we see that it is simply biblical theology. When we see Calvinism explained throughout the Scriptures, we see that this isn't a man-made system but proceeds from the very pages of the Holy Bible.

The only thing I can say is that I myself was a Calvinist for several years, but have since seen the error in which I interpreted several verses. And this was mostly due to the fact that when I first came to truly know the Lord, I only saw Christians as either charismatic nut cases (which is what I was raised in) or the theologically conscious Calvinists. But I had many questions that I had to find answers to, and it took serious soul searching, and challenging my own preconceptions to find the errors that I held so strongly to. And now that I have found the answers to those questions, it is both very liberating, as well as even more challenging. I just hope you keep searching out the answers on these topics, and don't just repeat what your teachers tell you, for that is the same mistake the charismatic's make.

Romans 3:11 is a quote from the Old Testament speaking in general terms. Cornelius in the Book of Acts was seeking God prior to being saved or God communicating to him.

Terrible misrepresentation of arminians. What quote do you have of any reputable Arminian claiming he can come to God on his own? Could you maybe find a quote from John Wesley or Arminius? I’d like to read it.

1 Corinthians 2:14 someone relying on the wisdom of the natural man will not absolutely know the things being spiritual but if they rely on the wisdom of God which scripture is able to make one wise unto salvation they can absolutely know spiritual things.

Romans 5 says Adam spread death to all but that many "not all" were made sinners Romans 5:19.

Wouldn’t it have been impossible for Adam and Eve to go against God in the first place if they were not yet in a fallen state and if God is completely sovereign? Did God will Adam and Eve to sin? Or did Adam and Eve have their own will and choose to sin?

Genesis 8:21 "from his youth" the word for youth in Hebrew is juvenile not from the womb or infant.

Does that means that I can stop wasting my time attending a reformed church and want on God to open my eyes

This reminds me of what Jehovah's Witnesses and Word of Faith'rs do when they prooftext their doctrines in a discussion. Context is a defeater of Watchtower, Word of Faith, and Calvinist prooftexted doctrines.

This is just bad (not to mention, lazy) theology. Just go grab some texts and cram them into your doctrine however you can.

@00:35 you mentioned Arminians believe they can come to God on their own.

I’m not an Arminian but I’m pretty sure they don’t believe that.

Sounds like you’re misrepresenting.

I hope it’s not intentional but simply ignorance.

GOD has given mankind the ability to believe.

That’s NOT of ourselves.

GOD reproves the World of sin and unrighteousness and draws and convicts.

That’s NOT of ourselves.

No one believes we come to God by any goodness in ourselves, we turn to God because of HIS goodness.

1. God sending His Son is NOT of ourselves. It’s HIS Divine Initiative, not ours.

2. God sending the Holy Spirit is NOT of ourselves. It’s HIS Divine Initiative, not ours.

3. God giving us His Word is NOT of ourselves. It’s HIS Divine Initiative, not ours.

4. God speaking to us through creation is NOT of ourselves. It’s HIS Divine Initiative, not ours.

What more do you want?

Is everything that God’s done in taking the DIVINE INITIATIVE and first step towards us not compelling or persuasive enough that He STILL has to effectually make us believe or else none would come to Him?

Is everything God has done insufficient and lacking?

Terrible... and completely misrepresents Arminianism. Arminians believe FULLY that God must draw a sinner to Christ by conviction of the Spirit and the revelation of the truth of the Gospel. This Calvinist is obviously a novice.

Eph 2:1-10 "by nature" the word nature means of habit not nature as in born this way.

We are dead in our sins, but the entrance of the light of this glorias' gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, God chose the gospel for the salvation of man, and it is offered to anyone that is a sinner. Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous, we know all have sinned and fallen short, therefore he came to save everyone that believe on his name. Calvinism is a false doctrine that does not agree with the word of God. Total depravity did not keep Abraham from believing God and it will not keep you from believing the gospel of Christ because the entrance of the light of the gospel cannot be stopped by the darkness of the god of this world. Light always destroys the darkness and God is light, and there is no darkness in him.

Genesis 6:5 the angels had corrupted the flesh of humans. The Nephilim are now the disembodied demons. Noah was not totally depraved

Silly Calvinists.... they think that "me having faith robs God of His glory." So brainwashed.
