Wow- That's fucking exceptional. I was actually looking up what the bass they used in old-tyme type music. Dave Brubeck's Take Five has a double bass being played by a black dude and it struck me as obvious that you never see anyone BUT a black dude playing that instrument. DB's band played Jazz but like any Pre 60's music it was very common. Well, this is a rendition of it's use I have not heard. It's such a deep and rich sound. Too bad music doesn't use it anymore. Also weird- The Korg. In the 80's there was very little music that Didn't have a keyboardist in it= now you never hear it, which is also weird considering how much music is digitally manufactured.

Definitely hear the percussive attack from a wireless condenser microphone attached to the Bass, and you can’t hear the natural ambiance anywhere outside the instrument. A dirty trick you pulled, but not me as a bass player since 1978. 👎🏼
