Nine: There she is.
Rose: She's an egg.
Nine: Regressed to her childhood.
Jack: She's an egg.
Nine: She can start again. Live her life from scratch. If we take her home and give her to a different family, and tell them to bring her up properly, she might be alright.
Jack: Or she might be worse.
Nine: That's her choice.
Rose: She's an egg.
Nine: She's an egg.

WW2 had 5 Jacks.
Torchwood Jack in the Cryo Vaults
Con man Jack
Torchwood Jack, waiting for the Doctor
Future Jack with Tosh
And the real Jack Harkness.

Honestly Jack's story is a classic Shakespearean tragedy, his immortality is not a gift, its a curse, everyone he gets close to dies or in the Doctor's case, regenerates. I would have liked to have seen the 11th and/or 12th Doctor interact with Captain Jack at some point but I'm guessing John Barrowman must have been busy filming other stuff during those years

The Face of Bo was suppose to be canon. Barrowman was supposed to appear in a Good Man Goes to War and was to lose his head to the headless monks. He would then live has a head only. The only reason this doesn't happen was because of scheduling conflicts. So I choice to see it as canon.

Captain Jack is definitely BEYOND iconic and charismatic. One of the best.

I wish Jack would be brought back on a regular basis. He's such a wonderful character.

I always felt that Captain Jack was like River Song if she was more of a side character. They were both extremely charismatic people with extremely long, complicated timelines presented non-linearly whose very essences were fundamentally altered by their interactions with the Doctor.

One of the very few things about Tennants Doctor that I didn't like or really understand was his abandonment of Jack. Like, he was brought back to life and left confused and in anguish. The excuse that he 'shouldn't exist' and 'it hurts just lookin' at you' aren't excuses for that terrible act. F'cking f'd up thing to do to a mate.

Can we imagine for a minute Jack hearing the TARDIS materialise above the base in 2005, knowing he can't interfere?

This is just a testimony to how good of an actor that John Barrowman really is.

one thing I love about Jack's past is it's never revealed what the creatures were that attacked the Boeshane Peninsula and I like that I love mysteries

Any time I hear Jack's theme now I can't help but remember "here he comes in a bloody great tractor".

The best moments in my Doctor who history was realising Jack Harkness was the Face of Bo, I had my suspicions, as Jack was one of the only other immortal time travelling characters. 👍🏻‍

Thank you for this guys, I'd recommend the story of UNIT next.

I mentioned it in an earlier video, but *Russell just this month confirmed the Face of Boe to be Jack.*

It seems to me that Chris wants to explore the later years of Jack's life, and would obviously need Russell's permission and confirmation.

I love Captain Jack Harkness for being such a sex-positive character. So many recent tv characters are so awkward around sexual subjects, like sex cannot be just fun. But Captain J Harkness is just so wonderfully joyful!

How can you tell the complete story of 'Torchwood' without it's true beginning. The real story is that when they were planning the revival of Doctor Who, they didn't want to give it away so that came up with the title "Torchwood" which is an anagram of Doctor Who.

Jack is definitely the Face of boe that was the reveal at the end of the episode the writers even made a joke that Jack seems to still be able to age and he wondered what he might look like in a million years. it was clearly the writters intent that Jack and the Face were the same person, probably not since the beginning of the series but it does fit in very well with the first Season of New Who's habit of subtlety connecting the episodes together, and the 10th doctors era had the same production team and creative staff of the 9th doctors. so it makes sense as a planned 9th doctor season 2 reveal that got pushed back because they had to change doctors due to Christopher Eccleston's departure.

Jack died a *lot* more than three times, during his stay in the Victoria age!
At least _fourteen_ times, he's told, before being shot by his _Torchwood_ recruiters.
