Home Made Crispy Chicken Nuggets (episode 144)

Chicken nuggets. They're not only delicious, they also taste good.

If you want to do some stovetop pan frying, check out this safety stuff. Most importantly: high temperature oil, and make sure it doesn't get too hot (I keep it below 350...a lot of recipes say you need it at 375 but that's hogwash.) Honestly just bake them or go to a restaurant.

RECIPE

1 pound of ground chicken
a few pieces of ground bread
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 or two teaspoons of cumin
1 or two teaspoons of mustard powder
literally any spices you want
1 teaspoon of salt
some pepper pepper pepper
mash it all together and flex your wrists
oil up your hands and do some Turkish wrestling
or shape the nuggets
or flatten them out and cut them
scramble an egg and dip them
then dip them in panko and pat them on the back
heat a small amount of oil to around 300 degrees (for gods sake monitor your oil temperature)
and USE TONGS to put the nuggets in. Also use them to take the oil out
Grip firmly. Dropping anything into hot oil is very bad news
Flip them after a coupe minutes
make sure they get to at least 165 degrees F
If you don't own a food thermometer this is your sign to buy one today
They are inexpensive and it will change your relationship with cooking because
you'll know for sure when something is cooked and you won't have to overcook it
You're welcome, thank me in the comments.

Also have a terrific day. But also don't let me tell you what to do.

I prefer sea chicken, since you don’t need to add any salt, much easier.
Note: amputation makes making nuggies a second time impossible, so if you’re on a diet, would recommend.

I was worried about salmonella, but then I remembered you can only get it when preparing salmon nuggets

Even underneath the humor you still made sure to stress the importance of dealing with raw chicken. I can definitely respect that. It's hard to type this with 1 hand.

The commentary is refreshing, while also informative. I did use fire chicken though. 10/10

I accidentally set my nuggies in front of the “Delicious Almond coated crunchy toffee chocolate cookies” sign and my sister ate some of it and she liked it. So I tried it too, and I also liked it. I decided to stop watching the rest of the video and just eat the rest of the cookies. I recommend this recipe👍👍👍👍

0:17 Remember to be careful when cooking with fire chicken, since they're used to higher temperatures you need to freeze the chicken to cook it

This method ensures the chicken retains its moisture and grants a much deeper flavor

This seems like a great recipe but I would recommend putting the uncoated nuggets in the freezer first, that makes breading the chicken so much easier because it doesn't fall apart as easily.

something like 6 years later and this guy is unchanged. Still a beacon of happiness and good cooking tips. Never Change guy who told me I suck at cooking.

True story! My culinary class in high school, we had a lesson on deep frying. While other groups deep fried asparagus and pickles, my group was the only one who had to handle raw chicken. Even our teacher had no clue how long we had to fry the chicken for. We ended up taking the chicken out too early, and the image of semi deep fried chicken still haunts me to this day.

to make an even better bread crumbs, we always toast it first until it's golden brown, before turning it into crumbs. Either way, the nuggets looks very delicious, I'd give it a 5 nuggets out of 5. I'm not new to your channel, the last time I've watched you was way back 2020-2021 and I find your content extremely good. If I may, may I recommend you making one Filipino dish? It's called kaldereta, it would be awesome if you notice this

I can’t believe you neglected the most important part - DIPPING SAUCES!!!! And you’d need a snappy song - cuz we haven’t had a YSAC dip song in way too long.

Or if you don't want to touch the chicken, bring Pimblokto back in to handle the icky stuff for you. He is immune.
