Have I found an ancient relic metal detecting with the XP DEUS II?!? 🤩

A productive few hours as the XP DEUS II continues to sniff out missed signals in our heavily detected set-aside field.

A silver coin, a lead seal plus a few relics!

24:46 I think this is a late-Minoan, lentoid, convex seal with a reverse-facing animal pair (likely fox and boar hunting scene), probably worn. Please take these finds in! I’m amazed at the wealth of these extraordinary finds you are blessed to discover! Boar and fox

I initially thought medieval, definitely a hunting scene and maybe 16th-17th century, have a look at pommel caps. Its the right shape and the hole is on the right place.

i can imagine spring is a busy tourist season there for you. I wish my skies looked like that. Severe drought in my area of south Texas. Love that you got a silver!! And that strange teardrop shaped thing is intriguing, but does look like it may have been made in Victorian era. The poured edges look too sharp to be older. Oh, and figured out what you said a month or so back that I couldn't understand. I have heard that very remark a couple of times since. It was shock/horror. LOL

And after the American Revolution a lot of British coins were holed for washers.

Great films. Learning lots. Just got my first detector and going to have a go.
Looking at the object, could the hole be for a threaded pin to come through with a blind nut to hold on on a mount or leather strap? Possibly on a horse? Just a thought. Cheers!

Hi from the other end of the uk, near Lands End in Cornwall 👋
Great video, I thought that shell like relic looked like the metal piece from the center of a Roman shield? I'm no expert though 🤔 have a great weekend!

That "Christian" ORE from 1930 looked interesting. I looked it up and 5 years later the coin started with a small bit of added value.

That gilded brass relic is very cool 😎.

I’m watching from the state of Ohio in the US. Looks like a fancy walnut shell. Keep us posted if you find out!

Looks like a dog on one side and a rabbit or fox on the other. maybe used on something when they went hunting with the dogs etc.
