I love the dulcent tones of Tony Robinson. When I wake up in the middle of the night, I tune into another Time Team, and within minutes of listening to Tony's soporific sounds, I am fast asleep again. Better than any sleeping pills

Archaeology is inherently destructive—and quite expensive. The TV money meant that many sites that otherwise wouldn’t be investigated did get dug—which sometimes meant enough finds to prompt further grants. Time Team raised public awareness massively, and helped motivate a new generation of budding archaeologists. I would argue that half a glass is much better than none.

Time team is constrained by budgetary and time constraints being a tv show. It shows by their absolutely horrendous archeological methods. I cringe very time I see this show.
