In this video, Dr. Berg gives an insight into hyperthyroidism, a condition where the thyroid produces too much thyroid hormones.

It is usually diagnosed with low thyroid-stimulating hormone and high T3 or T4.

The pituitary originates the thyroid-stimulating hormone. If the TSH is high, it will turn T3 off – but if it is low, there will be no turn-off switch which will keep it producing more and more.

To all those suffering from Graves, do not remove your thyroid just because doctors say it's the easiest thing to do! You end up relying on synthetic thyroid meds for life

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in august 2017.. it took 18 months to be clear from this condition. I took my drug in combination with other natural ingredients costus root and honey 🍯
Each month a blood test to adopt drug dose to my condition, now I am happy thanks to God from saving me.
I think my problem comes from many stress and emotional problems I experienced in that time, now my advise to every one is to have a health lifestyle : exercise, fasting, sleep, avoid junk food, take supplement like vitamines and mineral.

I cured my hyperthyroid simply by cutting out all added sugar. That’s it. And managed my stress better.

I also had the power of prayer. Amazing. No more kidney stones, free from gerd and now fixing my hyperthyroid. Amazing. I'm at a healthy weight now too. 135. I am very impressed with the knowledge this man has.

I had Graves for 6 years. Was on medicine for it. First 2 years I had it, I was misdiagnosed, so 2 years + of it, until I started to pass out. First 2 years+ no medicine. Then went to a different doctor. The man saved my life. He figured it out that I had Graves. Also worked with an eye specialist in Graves. I had glaucoma induced Graves. Was put on steroids for eye muscle inflammation. When I started the steroids, 3 pills in the morning each day for a week, then down to 2 pills a day for the next week, etc. Well after the very first day of 3 steroid pills, the next day, I felt normal. Couldn't believe it. So I did the 2nd day, the 3 pills. I felt wonderful. The 3rd day, I said, self, I wonder what would happen if I took 4 pills and I did. (I wasn't supposed to do that) I was frigin flying. Only thing I can say is when I did that, it turned off the Graves. I know it did. I know my body. And I know it turned it off. How it did it, I don't know. But I was checked and I was in remission. And BTW, I GAINED weight from Graves. Why? I could never sleep due to being so damn hot. 10 times worse than any hot flash. Really. So I slept 3-4 hrs. a night. And I was working. So I ate every candy bar, sugar, coffee, you name it, cause I had zero energy from no sleep. And I gained about 65 lbs. over about 6 months time. This was when I was undiagnosed. I have lost about 25 lbs. of the 65 lbs. I gained, but I cannot lose the other 40 lbs. I got Graves, at the same exact time I started menopause. So not sure if it's the menopause that won't let me lose the weight. I am remission for 7 1/2 years. It was so awful having that disease. I really wanted to end it. That's how horrible I felt. But I survived by God's grace, I am still here. Hope this story helps somebody.

I just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I have muscle aches, headaches, weight loss, irritability and tiredness. I did ultrasound and it showed I have overactive nodules. So I’m going to start treatment soon. I also started taking heart medicine which slows down my pulse. Be healthy everyone! Less stress, less junk food and be physically active. P.S. I always eating healthy and working out. But I was consuming coffee with soy milk, maybe that triggered it, not sure!

I was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and my doctor did not explain what I need to do to improve my health. For example, I take a high quality food based multi "WITH" Iodine - the quantity is 75 mcg. If hyperthyroidism means excess Iodine then I should stop taking this multi but it was never discussed. Moreover, based on what DR. Berg says about staying away from lectins then I should not be eating lentil soup, tomatoes, black beans which I do every week. Thanks Dr. Berg, VERY helpful and free info!!!

Brilliant video Dr Berg. If you could make a video on Hyperhydrosis im sure a lot of your followers would be very grateful. Ive seen a few comments over the past year regarding hyperhydrosis. Im pretty sure its a hyperthyroid issue, but I could be wrong. If you could do that one that'll be great. Keep up the incredible work!!

People with hyperthyroid can have idione deficiency (I did). So you have to check that out first. Fasting can make hyperthyroid worse, because of adrenal issues. So fasting is not the answer. Deficiency’s such as vitamine D can also lead to hyperthyroid. And condition like hyperstimulation, dysfunction of stress response.
