I never understood the appeal of wireless charging. Cables with magnetic connectors (eg. MagSafe) are the way to go. Peak efficiency, excellent ease of use, and fantastic durability.

Come on USB-IF. Release a standard magnetic connector for USB devices already!

And a lot of people are saying that you can't wireless charge while using the phone, but if you have a newer iPhone, you can use a magsafe wireless charger that just stays on the back of the phone so you can use it while charging.

Can’t wait for Apple to tell us in a couple years that they’re doing away with the cable all together because wireless charging is more efficient or some shit, but really it’s so they don’t have to switch to USB type C. And all the apple kids will eat it up.

Wireless charging works great for public places. You can make them waterproof and fool-proof. With wired ones you can't stop them yanking around and breaking the damn thing.
