The convenience of plugging my phone in, and setting it down, is exactly the same as a wireless charger. Not only that, my phone actually charges, instead of just sitting at the same percent for 25 minutes

I have absolutely no problem with plugging in a cable in order to prevent the heat and inefficiency caused by a wireless charger.

Wireless charging is better for home charging.. especially by a bedside, on a work desk, or in any situation where you just want it dedicated nearby for a passive recharge. Charging a lithium-ion battery to 100% and discharging it to 0% puts significant stress on the battery's internal components. Operating within the 20-80% range minimizes this stress, which slows down the battery's degradation over time.

Always check your phone for optimized charging settings and tune it if possible, but a wireless charger is always handy especially if you want the freedom to casually set your phone down and pick it up at will without the cord. Just because it charges slower doesn't mean it's a bad thing.. especially when batteries are still being improved.

Wireless charging is great, but not yet better than wired charging. Wireless charging is inefficient and slow, but that will likely change sometime in the future, making wireless charging more viable.

I’m gonna be honest, I never really cared for wireless charging cause at the end of the day it isn’t truly wireless charging, just charging with a wire that’s better hidden. It’s more inefficient and has less fast charging capability. Still rubs me the wrong way we now no longer have fully metal framed phones anymore from most companies because of this push towards wireless charging when it’s just a very small margin of people who use it

I like wireless charging because I can set my phone on a magnetic wireless charger and have it still easy to see when it goes off while it charges, and if I need it its just a grab and go.

If the concept unrealistically wirelessly charging phone anywhere as long as there is a source of charge in a room or house.where we dont have to bother plugging it in or placing it on top of some pad then it would be super great.

may qi2 wireless charger is already efficient and viable to me. tho it’s only 15w, but it’s great

But there's one thing about it that no one knows what can make it Overkill if your charger port broke then you can use wireless charging to charge your phone still like normal until you get it repaired

Im sorry but a wireless charger is a bigger hassle to take with you than a usb c or lightning cable

Wireless charging works great and fast, but the phone gets hot which can't be good for long term battery health.

I can limit the charging speed to 2W to prevent the heat but then it takes the whole night to charge.

I get it when you have to fit a lot of pices in a small space like smart watches and a port can get alot of space but why phones have wireless charging?

There's nothing wireless about wireless charging. Heck i can actually use my phone while wired charging

I have a samsung z fold and wireless charging is a nightmare, not even mentioning my horrendously thick military case which i HAVE to take off, it takes me 10 minutes to even locate where to put it on the wireless charger, then it has to stay and not go off charge
