Sauteed Cabbage Recipe | How To Cook Cabbage

Показать описание
1 head of cabbage, sliced into about 1 inch wide pieces
2-3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2-3 tablespoons butter, optional
1/4 cup water (or chicken broth or chicken stock)
salt and pepper to taste

Heat large frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil and butter to pan. When butter melts, add cabbage to pan and stir. Cook for about 1 minute. Add water and season with salt and pepper.

Cook for 5-6 more minutes or until desired texture is reached. Remember, the longer you cook it, the softer it will be; the less you cook it, the crunchier it will be.

Enjoy!

I’m so glad I found this YouTube. A year ago I got some sautéed cabbage to-go at Whole Foods—just like her recipe—no onion, bacon, extras. It was surprisingly delicious. I would never have thought to eat cabbage like this.

Nice and filling too, makes it a good diet meal (cheap and easy). I drizzled some oyster sauce over mine too (after it's cooked & on the plate), not bad at all. Good vid, thanks.

YUMMY! I like to add some granny smith and green onions to mine.
My husband likes it cooked in bacon for New Year's day.
