Thanks Sam, This was Cool, really good to see the basic evolution of the ABC steps to start building a Power BI model. It was really clear and easy to follow and therefore understand. I look forward to the continuous evolution of this model to give insights into F1 and Power BI. Thanks again Andrew

I just discovered the Enterprise DNA channel recently and the content you present has already been so beneficial to work I do in my organization. Thank you so much for this live seminar on data modeling. It will greatly help me in creating a nice intuitive data model from the large flat tables I deal with on a regular basis. Looking forward to more great content from your team!

Love the level of thinking I stumbled on PBI a few years ago and how you guys have made it evolve is mind blowing. I sometimes do feel intimidated, so lessons like these make it easier thank you do much.

Thank you for sharing Sam. Great content.
For the person that asked when it is interesting to merge data (or tables) maybe an answer for that is when you have a snowflake model with jus one fact table and you want to switch to a star model.
A typical example is a model with a product category table > linked to a sub category product table > linked to a product table > linked to the sales one. In this case it is some times interesting to to merge the category and subcategory product tables with the products one to keep only two tables.

Thanks for the tips! Would you consider doing a video on some many to many scenarios and perhaps some different ways of tackling the problems?

Hello Sam. Thanks for the content, the enterprise videos are really helping me. For a future video can you consider a report which has data which is slightly more dynamic. I mean that you have annual and monthly reports which is common but how about a week to week report within a month which compares last week and the week before data, but also indicates day on day changes too. Establishing the data model to support prompt incremental refreshing so that you can look at changes over 24 hrs and make any adjustments based on that. It would more of an example of a production facility, rather than purely sales. Thanks. David, Port Elgin, Canada.

Hello Sam.
Great content.
Please could you direct me to where I can find the actual downloadable resource (data files) you were working with.
I clicked on the link in the description of the video but did not see it.
I am also registered and enrolled.
Thank you.

Thanks Sam, great data set you found and agree a future challenge could be based on this. Would you tend to prevent direct links between fact tables such as driver ID connecting many to many?

Hi Sam, thanks for sharing your knowledge with the community. During the session he comments on the possibility of merging tables to reduce the complexity of the model. In a sales model with 1 product dimension and 1 size dimension, would it be advisable to merge the product and size dimension tables?
