Jethro Tull sounds the same live as they do on the studio recordings. There's no band like Tull. Ian Anderson is a genius.

There is no group to compare with Jethro Tull. Infinitely talented and original. And there will never be another group like them. Brilliant hardly describes them. Ian Anderson is a genius

Ian stands there balancing on one foot, while soloing on the flute...Magic!

Aqualung was a huge success…rockin the flute! Really ground-breaking sounds! Wow, Amber hit that analysis…!

My favorite band! Thick as a brick, skating away, teacher, Crossed eyed Mary, songs from the wood, and one of the best A New Day Yesterday!! Love them, so unique!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

There's nothing quite like Jethro Tull live because of Ian Anderson. He is probably the most underrated frontman in rock history. Whenever they'd have live broadcasts of their performances filmed, the entire band and especially Ian would stand completely still during rehearsals and then go all over the place during the actual performance so the cameramen couldn't keep up. Can't wait for you two to do more Tull reactions!

I have a distinct memory of singing this song to myself, while walking along the beach in Oban, Scotland in 1980…
This is *probably* my favorite Jethro Tull song 😊🥹

Pat yourself on the back Amber for spouting out that musical knowledge concerning ELP-I bet a few years ago you would never have imagined you would know to say that.

Jay and Amber so glad you appreciate Jethro Tull. If you want to see Ian Anderson's talent showcased even more check out Ian Anderson flute solo 1976. And for something different check out Ian Anderson and Lucia Micarelli performing J. S. Bach's Bouree. A very talented man.

I was a young man being them live, the intricate composition blew my young mind away!

What timing! This Saturday I'm going to see Martin Barre (the guitarist for Jethro Tull) perform Tull's hits at a small venue in NH. This
will make the 3rd time I've seen him. He's getting old, but still rocking out. Add my vote for 'Bungle in the Jungle' please, it's awesome.

You won't hear too many popular songs written in a 5/4 time signature. Living In The Past is one of them

Others off the top of my head- Dave Brubeck Quartet's Take Five and parts of the rolling drumbeat on Cream's White Room.

Oh, and the Mission Impossible theme is in 5/4.

Do you want to see the craziest live Jethro Tull performance? The song "My God" from Nothing is Easy: Isle of Wight 1970. Ian Anderson at his wildest. Seriously. Absolutely crazy fun.
