My take on this is simple. Don't be a follower. Don't be that guy who can only make decisions based on what other people like. If you don't like beards, don't grow one. If you like five to ten day stubble, go for it. Grow a full bushy beard if you want. Just do it because you want to. This goes for how you style your hair and what clothes you wear.
