If you think they haven't cloned a human already, then your probably a clone.

It's not the same person. Cloning is really stupid if you want to copy someone.
The entire reason all of us are different is because not a single one of us can live in the exact same time and space.

Unless you can perfectly replicate memories, sensations and thought patterns, it's never the same person. And even then, it's arguable since it's still a different human being.

My clone is not me. It's an ENTIRELY separate person, with a face that looks like me. But it's not me, and I am not them.
I think cloning people will just bring a whole host of terrible issues.
Cloning say a part of your body, a heart, stomach, etc for later use if you know you are prone to issues I get. Even then, an artificial one is almost always better. However organic and perfectly recreated one would likely give the body less cause to reject it eventually.

Extending the telomeres is not the problem, the problem comes with controling the ensyme extending them.If it keeps being synthesized we will develope tumors all over our bodies and die much sooner due to uncontrollable cell division rather than of old age.The key is finding a substance that could extend the telomeres by a singular predetermined size using one dose of that substance at a time.

I'd also like to add that the clone would not be you in terms of experience. Experiences shape who we are, just as much as our genes, therefore, if I have once experience and my clone has another, then that clone is not me, but someone else having the same look as me (AKA a twin). Even if you cloned me exactly the way I am now, it still would not be me. It would not have my memories, nor had any of my experiences. That clone did not experience my first kiss, the first time I was moved by a song, the first trauma I suffered or the first time I had sex.

Cloning can be a step to immortality. We first need to figure out how to transfer a person’s psyche (mind, soul, whatever) from their original body to the new cloned body.

Honestly, I think my clone, or clones would be best served, as best friends. Someone who really knows, understands, and gets you as a person. In a way that no one else ever could. However, there is nothing to say that they would necessarily think like me, or act like me. Most of those traits and and personality factors are formed after birth, and are influenced by the way they were raised. My question is, what sort of connection would we have with them. I mean they are exactly us down to the last molecule. Or are they? What about the egg they've grown from? That's how we get our mothers traits. Do would they have the traits of three parents? Mine and the egg donar? There are so many questions in this subject, you could have conversations for years and never answer them all. Which is why we haven't done it yet, along with the technology issues mentioned in the video. Back to my original point though. I think I great best friend and life companion. That would be the best use of a clone. Someone to HELP you do things, not do them for you.

I would use my clones to play practical jokes, play video games help me around the house, help cook... that sort of stuff :)
