that is not a simple explanation. I will explain it simply! Cloning is simply using the healing ability that already exists in all of our body to heal it back it full form. Normaly only the body can heal itself because the healing process requires lots of nutrients to work. Small body parts simply die and rot away because they dont have sufficient nutrients to heal themselves back to full form. In cloning, all you do is give to that body part the nutrients needs to heal then simply watch it heals itself back to full form and by full form i mean from finget nail or hand or whatever the part is to fukl human or whatever body it was is now full form again. You can do this with animals and plants alike. Its easier to clone plants because they can feed themselves just with soil water and sunlight. Most potatoes we eat are in fact clones. Now why did no one try to build his own clone army yet? Because the healing process used is at the same speed as a women's pregnacy so its slow. Also, it only heals the body. Not the mind so you end up with an an army of adult looking humans who have the mind of new born babies. They learn at the same rate as normal babies/children except their body is already aged like an adult and requires the same quantity of nutrients to maintain their body as adults (more then normal babies) and will die sooner because of their aged body. Overall it is more expensive and less effective to build a clone army then it would be to have children and make soldiers the normal way. Thats why nobody made a clone army yet.
I used simple words that simple people can understand. Simple people wont understand what chromozones, dna or cells are because those are very specific words that they wont hear in their every day life.

I am just curious. Can you just skip the process of replacing one nucleus with another, and just shock the egg with electricity? Why do you need a different nucleus? Is it possible to just use an egg and electricity?
LATER...someone answered, but I don't agree with the answer. I think you can just shock the egg. Replacing the nucleus, as they do, would still be half the code. Which is what they do anyway. That is why it is called cloning, because you are making a copy, not creating a different original work from two units, the sperm and the egg. There is only the egg and the electricity. So, for instance, if someone took one of my eggs and shocked it, and then reinserted it to grow, that would be a perfect copy of me. The donor egg is not necessary. They only use it then when they need a host. Am I wrong? Tell me what you think. So, all the world's men could be wiped out, and women could just shock their eggs into life. Interesting. 🤓
