This was a fantastic video Kathleen. I have an A.S. in Civil Engineering, and a B.S. in Community Ministry. I started teaching online during the pandemic and loved it, and I wondered about the pathway for certification. This answered every question I had, plus a few more I didn't know to ask. Thanks!

Thanks as always, Kathleen. You and your dear husband are helping me very much as I plow through all the Praxis exams I need to pass for my licensure as a Special Ed generalist with Elementary emphasis. Passed three, only two more to go! 👍😁‼️

Kathleen, great video! I didn't subscribe because I am not fully interested in the videos that you make. I will say I left a like and I really appreciate you being one of the only YouTubers that has more than 30K subscribers that actually answers all the comments. Thank you for doing that, I hope you have an amazing day!

Kathleen, thank you your videos have helped me pass the Praxis Core and PLT. I have taken the Praxis II 5047 THREE TIMES and I fall short by a few points each time. This last time I earned a 161 and I need a 164. I am putting my frustrations aside and continuing to believe I will pass. Can you give any advice? I plan to take the test again in a week and have been taking practice tests and watching your videos for guidance. I hope you can help!

Thank you so much for such an explicit explanation.

I am a Nigerian and I already have a Bachelors degree in Education. How do I pick it up from there if I want to get certified to teach in the states. I get some remote jobs advert on LinkedIn but I can't apply because I Don't have certification yet.

Thank you for your explanation of the process! I have my degree in applied mathematics. I know it depends on the state (I am in Oregon), but what do you think are the chances that I would be able to teach high school math after turning in my transcripts?

Greatly appreciated! I have a BA in Political Science and a AS in general studies. I wanted to know what steps to take in order to obtain the CEAS certification unless its the same as what you just mentioned. Please and thank you!

Thanks so much for this information. I watched your other interview videos. I was surprised that you did this as a second career since you were also a Principal. I’m trying get into this as a second career myself. In my state/county I set up a meeting with the person in charge of teacher licensure. I brought in my transcripts and she told me all the things I needed to do and the classes I was qualified to teach. I’m documenting my journey but it won’t be on my channel until I get the job (I don’t want my currents jobs to know I might be leaving).

hi i’m junior in high school. i’m looking forward to being a teacher. however right now i’m looking on where to start. i don’t have the best experience in high school but i’m trying to better it by getting my credits i need to graduate. i have many questions besides high school and my current state, where should i begin on looking too? especially money being one of my problems a 4 year university seems a lot to me. i know i can work towards paying it off but i don’t want to be in debit. where do you recommend i start? what are things you would of done differently if you’ve chose to be a teacher at a young age?
