Us Brits do a roast dinner better than anyone else on the planet. Anyone that tries to argue otherwise – well, they’re wrong. This Slow Cooker Roast Beef can’t be beaten for convenience or taste!

Ingredients
1 kg (2.2 lb) topside or top round beef
500 ml (2.1 cups) beef stock
187.5 ml (0.8 cups) red wine – ¼ bottle
2 carrots – roughly chopped
1 onion – sliced
6 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp tomato puree
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil

I could be wrong, but isn't the point of a slow cooker to cook for a long time, over a low heat, vs cooking to a set temperature like you would in an oven?

I picked up one reduced from $27 to $17 so yeah be softer that way maybe i can ad spuds and carrots are only $1 a kilo mmmm❤ from Australia 👍

What setting on slow cooker is 50, 60, or 70°C?
Whats cooking time?
