How do you figure out what to do with your life?

The world is changing fast. The 21st Century is going to look a lot different than the 20th Century did. Opportunities to do new and different things feel like they're around every corner. Some people will know how to take advantage of them, and other people may struggle. Don't get so bogged down in planning and working things out that you never get out there and just take the first step. Just start walking, and before long, you might find yourself in the same place your hero's are.

My favorite line was - "If you put that weight on your shoulders, who in the right mind would take that first step? We need more people to take that first step because that first step leads to the next step which leads to the next step and one day you wake up and you realize you are now where you are relative to the people you used to admire."

I think there's something to say about faith here. Maybe you don't know exactly what the path is but feel drawn to a craft. There's a lot of value in pursuing the craft anyway so that you have the practice to use it effectively when the real purpose to use it for hits you one day.

Totally relatable. Sometimes I see myself in a place where I feel I have to define it all before taking a step. But where does that leave me? More and more procrastination. It's really terrible. But I'm taking what you said here and I'll act regardless

Try to learn and learn to try. First steps all the way to the end

Great point. There IS a lot of pressure to “find your mission” … your mission will grow out of your skills and interests. More importantly, find what your good at.

I'm afraid that the quote of the World Economic Forum will become real in less time than what we thought - "You will own nothing. And you will be happy." - but I'm optimistic that society will find a better solution for it IMO. Great content as always guys.

When we fill our time with inspired actions, we move out of right/left brain and towards dematerialization while still discovering the pathways to achievement. Great video today, I had a lot of takeaways.

I face a lot of resentment in my life, Chris, from artists who haven’t found the path to future wealth & consistent high paying work like I have.

Ex-Film school peers say “how did you have this transition in your career?”

I echo values I’ve learned from you, and say “I go to where the stories are, and found great purpose and rewards.”

They look at me like I’m a prostitute. “Marketing? That can’t be art.” These aren’t people in my circle, but it still haunts my day to day ever so slightly.

I've found that breaking things down into smaller parts can be helpful. For instance, if you wanted to write a book just start by saying I'll write just 1 page of the book today. It suddenly becomes less fearful and more manageable. Until weeks later you find that you're already halfway through. There's something to be said about Beeple who was creating every day without any knowledge of the fact that one day there will be something called NFT's.

wow, every time I listen to Chris my mind is blown. Although I don't want to steer away from my career path, UX, UI and CX design. I entered into the NFT arena. Still a noob. But I am very optimistic. Thank you and KUDOS

Einstein was crazy creative. I think he’s a good example of someone who moved between left-and-right brain fluidly. His creativity made leaps forward possible, but his logical bent put structure and order beneath those creative ideas. I love the idea that not all have a mission, but all have a path … brilliant example of creative and logical thought combining.

Thanks for this inspirational video as a beginner graphics designer I have a lot of dream to make it but in the first line it was so challenging and heart breaking but when you start the process by believing in your self you gate something that was unbelievable

The video was not only very well said, it was very insightful. An I would definitely agree with the decline in materialism.

Thank you for expressing this.Exactly how I've been thinking lately. I'm a graphic designer/photographer and I love to dabble into a little bit of everything - photography, graphic design, animation, 3D....it all builds and can apply across the board. My master creation can happen in layers. "Follow your highest excitement." -Bashar
