Is the slimmer, lighter, brighter Vita a step up from the original?

The Vita is so underrated. Such a great library. Glad they finally added memory out the box. They were so fucking greedy with the first model. I prefer my model over the new one, but it has nice improvements. Hopefully gamers realize how great it is and will buy it.

I have a PS Vita Slim, and all I can say is:
I don't care if it did not sell as well as the 3DS
I don't care if it does not have as many good AAA games as the 3DS
I don't care if the memory cards for it are expensive

I just frickin love this thing :D

For all that IGN does I gotta say I'm most thankful that they keep promoting the Vita as a relevant and worthy gaming system when most other gamers have already written it off. Personally, the Vita is my favorite portable console to date. It's a great way to expose myself to a vast library of classics, and hopefully titles like Borderlands 2 and Minecraft will pave the way for us to FINALLY get the next-gen games the Vita was touting at launch. Sony needs to get this model out to the states pronto, cause I think the higher portability actually does more to sell the Vita as a "portable PS3". Also the 1000 is a bit jagged for my taste. But for now, there is more than enough stuff to keep me busy with the model I already own :)

Psvita will continue to shine on.  It doesn't matter that people have to say about it.  You can't deny it has hundreds of great games.  Even if a lot of those games are indie, most still look better than anything coming out for other hand held devices.  For anyone looking to buy a psvita, I heavily recommend Soul Sacrifice Delta, Gravity Rush, Dragons Crown, Muramasa Rebirth, Blazblue Chrono Phantasma, Killzone Mercenary, or my favorite, Ys:  Memories of Celceta.  You absolutely can't go wrong with any of these games!  The psvita is a beautiful hand held and only YOU can help it by providing support!

Finally got a vita and a ps4. Remote play is so awesome, I can take sit on the toilet and play ps4 now. I can even travel abroad with my vita and use remote play connected to my ps4 from thousands of miles away, over the internet.

I don't understand why people say the original has a more premium build. The 2000 model looks far more refined and clean. Unlike the original, which is clunky and a tad cheesy with that faux metal trim. Also, I'll take better battery life and color accuracy over the OLED.

why are there so many nintendo 3ds owning fanboys watching a vita review??? i have both ps vita and 3ds and love them both, the vita is an amazing handheld and better than the 3ds in alot of ways, the 3ds has 3d and more GAMES which makes it awsome as well but if sony made more effort with the vita and brought more aaa titles out for it using its GREAT functions it would sell just as well as 3ds, , , they should bring gt6 out on it for a start, that alone would prob sell LOADS more vitas

dont diss the vita if you havnt tried it, its an amazing little handheld

I gave up my 3DS for the PS Vita and it was the best decision I ever made! I have the PS Vita 2000 (the slimmer) and it is my PlayStation away from home, and sometimes even at home. I recommend it to ANY person who loves the Sony games.
