I think the reason people decide to invest in income focused etfs is because it takes a lot less money invested to generate enough cash to retire early.
If u are in no rush to retire and can wait to have a multimillion dollar portfolio then the obvious choice is something like schd. Some people would rather enjoy life now even if it means less growth and possible loss of portfolio value over time. The trick is to employ both strategies. Invest enough in schd or even vti in retirement accounts and let it compound over time until retirement age and invest enough in your taxable with income etfs to carry you now until retirement age. 😀

SCHD is the way to go with any and all things in my eyes. If you're a dividend yield chaser and want good growth too, DIVO is the way to go.

Thank you. I needed clarification on SDIV vs SCHD.

Help me understand this. So something like JEPI is negative because there is no growth, correct?

Clear and easy to understand. The last channel on this subject was putting me to sleep, so I came here. Thanks!

Can you reviewed high dividend closed end funds like crf and clm that give out monthly distributions?

Thanks Austin! Great video and very informative. I have both SCHD and VYM - but also have QYLD and SDIV. When I compared the Exp Ratio and with your video, the growth....wow! I need to sell those monthly dividend and buy more SCHD and VYM

You've got a pretty negative take considering all of the market is down at about the same rates. Assuming values rebound across the board, this is just the natural ebb and flow. All this information is significantly less helpful for mew investors that just started in the last 3 years. 5 years ago was a different work.

Those are pretty low div payers but have some capitol growth. I love TSLY, i am getting a 6040 div for July but true the div will be all over the map each month!

As an Indian in the U.S, I made my first million as a beginner investing in the stock by taking advantage of the ongoing market crisis with the help of a broker i met in a brokerage summit in Miami and he agreed to assist me, excited, additionally i have more time for my self and family
