I had this iPad since 2015, it still works, never had issues, had a lot of memories, but I gave it to my friend last year since I switched to an iPad 8 in 2021. I switched to iPad Air 4 this year. iPad Air 2 will be my favorite iPad forever.

My cousins still use this iPad day to day, to get modern apps (the latest compatible version) they have to download it on their iPhone XS and then they can get it on the iPad, it’s a hassle but the fact it still works 10 years later is crazy

Updates are (intentionally) locked to CPUs as long as CPU is able to handle updates it's gonna get them

I agree too. I’ve never seen people such a tablet from 2014 even 2017. My friend owns an iPad from 2015 and it is still running great! Long-lasting is one of the best “feature” in an iPad.
