Jessie is absolutely right about French behaviors: I live near Paris and I remember an American neighbor who was really surprised that I go out to buy food daily in several different stores... At the time, I didn't know what to answer when he said that I was loosing my time (and he thought that it was a good example showing why people would be more productive in his country). But now I see that all the hours he thought he was saving were actually lost by his trying to stay fit whereas I have always been lean without doing any specific effort for that... About croissants, yes I like them and I am used to buying some, but not daily !!! Nobody here eats croissants daily ! This is the kind of food pleasures in our culture that we like to have maybe once a week : ask a baker what is the best day for selling croissants and he will tell you on the weekends, since then people enjoy having a special breakfast with their family or close friends... By the way, I had to teach my wife (which is not French) that we always must have meals together, that it is a very important rule here : my Dad was used to repeating every time someone wanted to eat alone : our house is not a kind of hotel ! Now I do the same with my daughters... And every one has to participate to the meal (one is dressing the table, another helps for cooking, a last one is cleaning after the meal). All meal must have an entrée, that is usually something raw ("crudité"). I guess this is how we can eat carbs and stay lean... Best regards from France, keep the great show running!

What a natural human female. No make up, no hair do, no fillings, no ultra long disgusting nails, no nothing but just her…Very rare nowadays.

This is easily the best Dr G podcast yet. She is so well informed and good at relating the message in a way that anyone can understand. A delightful interview.

I started using the Glucose Revolution hacks at the request of my Dr. to improve my energy and maybe lose weight. So glad I did. It’s been 3 weeks and I have more energy and have lost several pounds….no counting any macros or calories, just doing the vinegar before and eating in the order she suggests. It is so easy it feels effortless. It’s what I’ve always needed..

You guys make a very fun interview. You are both my idols.

I have been with Dr. Gundry 8 years and I found Jessie a couple years ago and I thank you both for one (maybe top of my list) of my most rewarding days in my life.

I am announcing to the world my first day off metformin.

I have been diabetic for more than 40 years and if I had known years ago, what I have learned over the past 8 years it might have happened a lot sooner. But it has happened now.

I am 85 and have left only one family member and a couple of friends -- only one diabetic -- so since I have nobody to tell, I thought I may as well tell everyone. I am so happy to see the two of you now, every timer I turn around. It really helps make my day. And I think I learn something new with each encounter.

I am very grateful for everything I have gained just from having the two of you available to me. Thank you, thank you so very much.

Amazing discussion! LOVED all the respect Dr. Gundry had for Jessie! It was such an enjoyable conversation with both people sharing and both people learning while allowing the listeners to see what it’s like for two intelligent people, dedicated to health, can approach their knowledge differently yet have so many common results!!! Truly wonderful!

For me fasting has been a great tool to boost my metabolism in my menopause. Once I started I have never stopped fasting. I vary the amount of time I go without eating.

Intermittent fasting is NOT a stressor on the body!! It actually gives your body a break...ACV in green tea with fresh ginger & turmeric on an empty stomach, bueno!! Here's the diet key: No sugar, 5% carbs, 20% protein the rest, cruciferous vegetables, broccoli, avocado and good soluble fat, olive oil etc. 4-8 hour eating window...Your labs will look great!!

Wow, 2 health genius together. I followed both of your advices . I drink either balsamic vinegar or ACV after a heavy carb meal like eating rice in a day. Also I eat vege first before anything else. Anyways, I can't eat a meal in a day without a vinegar dip and hot chillies, that's my kind of appetizer. I also do intermittent fasting 16/8 or more daily except for a week prior my period as I followed Doc Mindy Pelz as well. You're one of the great health experts I really admire and religiously followed. Since I do IF, my system simply discard sweet things and sweet cravings. I don't feel hungry even for longer hours. Love it so much. Thanks for sharing your experties for free. You've helped a lot of people you don't even realized. Kudos to you all 🌹👏

Great podcast on how to manage glucose spike and insulin sensitivity. A savoury breakfast is a fantastic idea to start off your meal. A smoothie breakfast with a combination of the following ingredients may also control sugar spike:
1) walnuts and pumpkin seeds
2) pomegranate and mixed berries
3) matcha, moringa and spirulina powder
4) psyllium husk with Ceylon cinnamon powder and ginger powder
5) an avocado with wild rocket and purple cabbage
6) chia seeds and grounded flax seeds

Years ago when I was struggling with SEVERE hypoglycemia, while wearing a 24/7 glucose monitor for a week to see what the heck my body was doing, a diabetes counselor noticed that simply adding fat to my meals with carbs made a HUGE difference in my blood sugar spikes. She ended up mandating that I never eat carbs without a lot of fat.

Allulose 32:50 is found naturally in dried dates and raisins. As an artificial sweetener, it's a highly processed food, expensive compared to sugar.
