Off the top of my head for favorite book so far, probably Weyward. I received from Netgalley, but also picked it up through BOTM, because I would reread this, and I rarely reread books! The rest I'd have to sit down and think about. Awesome on meeting Katherine Center, hope you get to! I wish my local library could do these things, but it's so small, and our county has a bunch of libraries, that authors would go to over this one anyway. Have a great day!

This year has flown by! I added Gooney Bird and True Love Experiment to my tbr. So exciting you get to meet Katherine Center! If she was coming to my library, I’d for sure go.

I hesitate to say what I've enjoyed this year, because you and I have such different tastes. For instance, I really enjoyed both Eleanor Oliphant and The Soulmate Equation. However, I also like Katherine Center's writing so there may be some overlap. In any event, the books I've liked the most that I've read this year are:
The Impossible Us by Sarah Lotz - romantic, alternate universe
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan - contemporary romance
Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan - contemporary romance
The Friend Zone by Abby Jimenez - contemporary romance
Only Bad Options by Jennifer Estep - which is the first book in a science fiction/romance series

My overall best read of the year so far was, "Tress of the Emerald Sea, " by Brandon Sanderson. Sometimes I think if I read books that are disappointing to me, that it is really just me, that maybe something didn't gel or click for me rather than a lack on the authors part. Reading is so subjective. Fun to analyze the first half of the reading year though. I too want to read all the books before the end of the year😂❤

Hi Chloe. My best book is no surprise. A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny. Such a great series. Only 5 star reads with a couple of 4 stars tossed in. My most surprising read was Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. Excellent book. My most disappointing book was by Nick Pirog titled Unforeseen. I thought I had found a new series to love. Too gruesome. 😢

My biggest surprise was The Measure by Nikki Erlick…I thought it was so thought provoking and I’ve not stopped thinking about that one. I really thought it was just going to be mediocre for me. My biggest disappointment was Legends and Lattees by Travis Baldree which so many people loved. It was just okay in my book

Island of Hope, Island of Tears about Ellis Island and the Anti-Mary exposed about feminism were two non fiction that I really enjoyed. What you wish for by Katherine Center was really good as well. The biggest disappointment was the Writing Retreat.

I don’t like to go to the movies, either. No attention span and they’re too loud. Last movie I saw was Cirque du Soleil at least 10 years ago. I saw it 3 times and that’s because I such a fan. Great session.

I think you are more of a plot driven reader…you seem to like more action etc in your reading. I on the other hand I am a character driven reader over plot. I love slow books and enjoyed Eleanor oliphant…it’s just a matter of reading styles. For example I love Charles Dickens because of his characters…his books are slow moving but I really enjoy that. I’m not a non fiction reader which you seem to really enjoy so that’s what makes the reading world go round lol

I don't know what my favorite book of the year is yet..maybe The house of Eve..i do know it is not happy place that is very depressing book that failed as a romance i don't think these two should be together ..also there is one thing she did in the book that i disliked a lot.. i would be curious to see what you think maybe do a vlog.. i like Katherine's books but i think the new one has a triangle so i am hesitant but her last year release was a five star for me
