Ok some people were saying depleted uranium is harder; Uranium had a mohs scale of 6, while tungsten ranges from 7.5 up to 9; which os behind daimond, and also DU would only penetrate if it had enough force and heat.

This is why depleted uranium is also used in some kinetic energy penetrator rounds (Armor-piercing discarding sabot (APDS) and Armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS)) as if the round struck its target with enough force, the DU would partially melt due to the heat generated by impact, causing it to "self-sharpen".

Prior tanker here, the uranium is a softer metal but and here is the but, when sharpened depleted uranium strikes a metal surface such as tank armor it self sharpens as it penetrates, sending molten hot metal aft of the entry point. Velocity and heat can make what may be a softer metal into a much more affective tool.
